With the 18th pick in the 2006 BP Mock NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys select:

Safety Donte Whitner, from The Ohio State University.

Jackson's gone, Holmes is gone, and we desperately need someone that can both drop back into coverage when Roy decides to play linebacker and step up to line and aid the blitz. Fast, athletic, ballhawk, great hands, instinctive, film rat. Best available at his position.

Now you had to piss Marty off. He was all ready to call Donte his next mad dog in a meat market. But you ruined that dream.

With that the San Diego Chargers will use most of their clock as any team wanting to trade up should PM me to talk terms. Cuz I plan on picking someone that everyone would want so you better trade up to get him now or risk me picking him

Bobby Carpenter was our target from the get go. We were hoping to land him with the 23rd pick, but got nervous that he wasn't going to make it to us. Mainly because of New England. Also Derrick Brooks and middle linebacker Shelton Quarles are both on the downside of their careers. Ryan Nece is entering his fifth season. Other than Barrett Ruud, the second-round pick from Nebraska, the Bucs have no players to reload with. Getting Wilhelm was just icing on the cake.
