Official 2006 BP Mock Draft Thread

Really, Denver could have profited from trading up to get Holmes :tongue2:

If its WR or nothing else then take Chad Jackson, (though I think their needs at Safety are even greater).

But, I vote for Chad Jackson.

(Now let's see how that Southern Speed does in sub-zero weather)

I know my vote doesn't count, but all the mock drafts have them taking CJ even if Holmes is still on the board. Mel or someone like that said that's why they moved up to that spot.
Your vote definately counts, and outweighs sandgk's question of safety. It's a valid question, but if Denver wanted a safety over Chad, they should have shown up and picked.

Miami is now on the clock.

See, I wait too long and Denver picks. Actually alot of people are thinking they would have went Deangelo Williams in that spot. But they picked Chad Jackson and Marty is once again pissed at the Broncos :pissed:

I dont see why they would waste a 1st round pick on a running back...

Even I could run for 1000 yards if I played for the Broncos.

With the 16th pick in the draft, the Miami Dolphins select....Ernie Sims OLB, Florida St.

Having filled the primary offseason need by trading their 2nd round pick to Minnesota for Daunte Culpepper, as well as filling glaring needs in the secondary and on the offensive line, the Dolphins can afford to go with the best available player. With Junior Seau past his prime and and only Zach Thomas and Channing Crowder as playmaking linebackers currently on roster, Ernie Sims will have a chance to step in right away and earn a starting spot. The primary position that would have been addressed would have been wr (current backups to Chambers and Booker are Wes Welker and Cliff Russell), but with the two top receivers taken directly in front of Miami, the team decided to go for the best available talent instead of reaching for a receiver...

With the 17th pick in the 2006 BP Mock NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings select:

Running back DeAngelo Williams, from Memphis.

Our most obvious needs are a young QB and an every-down running back. Since the only QB's we would use a 1st-rounder on are gone, Williams is an easy choice. This guy broke the career 100-yard games record held by Archie Griffin and Tony Dorsett (even though he needed bowl games to do it, and bowl games didn't count for those guys back in the 1970s).

We also heard that DeAngelo doesn't like being on boats, which is a plus.

We were interested in Ernie Sims for his sideline-to-sideline ability, but he was just taken.

And if the commisioner edits this pick and changes it to Maurice Drew, it's time to storm the podium. :tongue2:

Cutler or VY. But we'd rather have Williams and a second rounder than one of those guys.

We plan on sucking this year, and then drafting Troy Smith in 2007.
