NW'ern +12.5 vs #1 tOSU (ov/un 137.5) Fri Noon ET, ESPN

I understand them not wanting to have the shot-clock violation as reviewable, since if the ball is live it would mess up the flow of the game.

But on a made basket at the shot-clock buzzer, that's not really a problem, since the ball has to be taken out of bounds. They need to change the rule to give the refs the option to check the replay for shot clock violations on shots that are good.

They do it for 3 pointers in question dont they?

They can go back in time and change a 2 pt shot to a 3pt shot. Why can't they go back in time and change a 3pt shot to a 0 pt shot.? That is a dumb rule.

They can also go back in time and call a technical if Lauderdale's arm makes contact with someone's head. However, you can't go back in time and call a technical if someon hits Sully in the head.

Yeah, they often stop the game to look at whether or not a guy was behind the line on a made 3. They can change it from a 3 to a 2, or vice versa, and it doesn't have to happen right away. If it's not near the end of the game, they'll sometimes wait until the next stoppage of play to check it.

So on a made basket, they should be able to use replay to see if it beat the shot clock. The difference between taking away 2 or 3 points is more important than the difference in adding or subtracting 1 point based on whether or not toes were on the 3-point line.

Another rule change they need is to stop the game clock on made baskets in the last minute of the first half, just like they do for the last minute of regulation and OT. Because it makes a difference in when teams should shoot in order to get a 2-for-1. Right now, in the first half, if your opponent scores with between 35 and 45 seconds left, it makes sense for you to waste a few seconds before inbounding the ball, so you can play for the last shot.

EXACTLY my thought. It is literally the EXACT same situation due to the fact that, whether it is a shot clock violation or a made shot, the next move is the other team's inbound...

Like I said, shouldn't have gone into OT at all. That being said, we got the W and I think we will come out hungry against M*ch*g*n or Illinois.

From 68% to 32%, win both...WOW

Overtime: Diebler - 1st trey of the game + 2 FT's -- 5 pts
Sully - 10/10 Ft's -- 10 pts

1fg + 12/14 fts

Sully/Craft are no longer freshmen - its official

David Lighty is THE defensive "Stopper".

I predict Will Buford will NEVER shoot that badly again, EVER! Even missed
both technicals.

Survive and move on
:oh:

John Saunders can go fuck himself with the splintered end of a dirty plunger.

I can't stand that smug POS mother fucker.

please explain.

(i agree...just curious what he said this time. I'm assuming he brought up football during a basketball discussion. Similiar to when there was a womens basketball violation that appeared in the college football section of ESPN's website)

Every single time that fucker speak all I hear is bias and I can't/won't let it go. Needing to state he lives in Ann arbor before running his gums about tsun ball team doesn't make it any better. He just comes off as an arrogant cock smoker.

That is all.

Sorry for that rant. Nice to start off the B1G tourney with a grind it out win...just what the guys needed to get refocused. GO BUCKS !!!

UD beats X in a nailbiter as the OSU game was going into overtime. I can't beleive both games ended in favor of the good guys.

I had both games on gamecast. Nothing beats staring at your screen and waiting for a refresh.

UD could really jack up the at large situation if they can pull out 2 more W's.
