Notre Dame @ tOSU, Sat Sep 3, 7:30PM (ABC)

My man. I can always count on you to get the hype train rolling.

No lie, this is a little weird now that I'm typing it but a guy asked me about the Buckeyes tonight. I said, once I get together with my boys, I'll be able to tell you every aspect of Ohio State and whether they will be for real or not. I was referring to BuckeyePlanet. The back and forth with my people over the last decade plus has given me a perspective of my school that most other people miss. @DaddyBigBucks with the statistics, @LordJeffBuck with the historical point of view and current relation, @pnuts34, @buchtelgrad04, @Dryden and several others bringing their perspectives and counterpoints to conversations and @Buckeneye and @ORD_Buckeye with the betting edge for the games each week with me, gives me a real Buckeye experience. NO OTHER SITE will give you that and I'll guarantee it as much as I love 11W and Givler and others. This is the only place to be for a game thread, period.

Sorry to hijack the ND asskicking thread but I was feeling nostalgic tonight and I really wanted to reiterate how much I want this site to continue. The Buckeyes will beat the dog stuff out of ND in two weeks by at least 21 points and if you are smart, you'll stick around here to see why all of the people I mentioned in this thread, and countless others, will explain just why we did it enroute to a National Championship. Write that shit down.

Edit: I felt awful not mentioning people like @BuckeyeNation27, @jwinslow and @Jaxbuck in my rant and I'll probably edit again for the other great folks I missed. Go Bucks!

Everyone is BKB. You didn't miss anyone.

Is the expectation that Knowles will be on the sideline and Walton will be in the booth?

Early in the off season that sounded like the plan but yesterdays comments from Knowles made me wonder if I was imagining things again.

Notre Dame vs. Ohio State: Brady Quinn says Buckeyes have 'question marks' entering season

“Yes and it opened at 13 I think so that number has climbed,” Quinn said. “...People can say ‘well that was early in C.J. Stroud’s career, he threw for over 400 yards in that game. Passing attack wasn’t an issue. They flat out got beat. They were outschemed defensively. They didn’t make adjustments, and I think you could look through the course of the season last year and go look at the Michigan game. Michigan ran for what? Almost 300 yards in that loss in Ann Arbor. You go look at the Rose Bowl versus Utah. Utah rushed for over 200 yards against them. So that’s why they brought in Jim Noles as defensive coordinator — who by the way that scheme didn’t hold up too well vs. Notre Dame in the Bowl game.

“So it’s a bit surprising only because I think there’s some question marks about Ohio State, more so than people wanna recognize. And Notre Dame’s got an NFL offensive line, bottom line. They probably could be the more physical of the two, and that’s what I expect to happen. Is try to control the game of the rushing attack. You know where clearly on defense you got your hands full with Jaxson Smith-Njiba, C.J. Stroud and the wide receiver group but if you can limit their big plays, shorten the game, you know limit Ohio State to 10-11 possessions, and play good red zone defense; by eliminating some of those plays, you’re gonna be right there in hanging in that game with a shot to win.”

So AJ Hawk’s retard brother-in-law is saying on one hand that Ohio State was soft against the run and ND has an NFL line, and on the other hand that the new scheme didn’t do well vs ND in the bowl game.

I’ll set aside for the moment my astonishment that Brady exchanged his NFL-themed cup of coffee for a microphone rather than taking a job as a rocket scientist. If the secret to cracking the Buckeye nut is to run the ball, tell me more about how the 42 yards that ND’s NFL OL ground out in the running game in the bowl game is a sign of impending doom for Ohio State. Do you think that scheme with Ohio State’s players instead of Oklahoma State’s is going to be so much more vulnerable that ND will limit Ohio State to 10 or 11 possessions?

yeah

good luck with that

And he's another twat that doesn't seem to grasp that Knowles didn't coach the defense in that bowl game.
