However, they will still remain my most hated sports franchise in any sport by far. They’re full of themselves, obnoxious, and can’t be reasoned with.

Additionally, Ohio State and Notre Dame drew more viewers than any matchup on the Buckeyes' 2021 regular-season schedule outside of Michigan, which attracted more than 15 million viewers. The other 11 games last year brought in roughly 5 million viewers per contest.

OHIO STATE USED TRESSELBALL FOR THE GAME-CLINCHING TOUCHDOWN DRIVE AGAINST NOTRE DAME

Ohio State didn't put up the gaudy offensive numbers we've become accustomed to against Notre Dame, but Ryan Day and C.J. Stroud aren't too concerned: "We just want to win games."

If you are 13-0 on Dec 4 when the CFP Committee meets, "style points" won't matter.

Here's an opinion. CJ (and other players) DO read the newspaper/online reports. Soooo, CJ came out with expectations that he simply did not have last year, before he'd ever thrown a collegiate forward pass. This year, he is being placed on an alter as a Heisman favorite. Sooo, he has put pressure to 'make the throw', each and every time. That kind of pressure (of what a 19 year old?) is pretty hard to deal with. Rather than just come out flinging it, he's looking for the home run. Believe Day is working hard with him on not doing that, but hey, he's a young man trying to make his bones and/or live up to the hype. He'll settle down, and get his rythem down with his receivers. Was surprised that when JSN went to the sidelines, there was offensive confusion. The next man up philosophy didn't seem to automatically click into focus. The O will be fine, and Knowles will continue to keep the D intensity up. Great play on Knowles substituting Ransom for Proctor. That showed the players that they'd get pulled unless the effort/intensity/results are there. Haven't seen that much in Buckeyeland. Keep on truckin'.

Further note on above. Starting Proctor at S was a very cool move on Knowles/Day's part. Proctor 'gets' that he got benched for not doing his assigned job. OK, and then when Ransom came in and played lights out, I'd bet vcash that Proctor just knew he'd lost his starting job. Well, also would bet that Proctor was surprised when Proctor started Ark St game as starting safety. That young man's confidence must have soared, knowing that the coaches hadn't lost confidence in him. I didn't catch that watching the tame, but don't remember his name being called, either for a great play or a great flub. Because of teh quality of opponent, both Ransom and Proctor got their minutes, but that little tweak shows (to me at least), tOSU has some good coaches on the D side once in a long time. I'll be watching to see the dividends this move made. Go Bucks!
