OSU did what they had to do with recruits tonight. Great game great atmosphere etc
I-OTWO THINGS:
1. Are the Silver Bullets back?!
2. Run the damn ball!!!!
3. Jameson hits different after a win.
4. You all should thank me as I went from standing the entire 1st half + 1st drive of 2nd half to sitting the rest of the game.
5. I hate ESPN.
6. Fuck AT&T but damn she is still hot AF!
7. Shot of Jameson anyone?
8. I can't count for shit!
9. Go Buckeyes!
10. O-H
Eh. The offense has an established track record of excellence dating back over a decade. The recruits that were there tonight witnessing a struggling Buckeye O probably aren't gonna read too much into it. The memory of the Rose Bowl is still pretty fresh. EVERY offense across the country struggles from time-to-time, and I'd say doing it in week 1 against a top-5 team doesn't seem like that big a deal all things considered.Im just not sure I agree….
With defensive players, yes, that is likely.
Overall, we looked stuck in neutral most of night, and pretty bland. Our defense was stout which should catch the eyes of defensive recruits, but offensively, it was kind of a cluster-fuck.
I have no doubt they’ll clean it up by week 4ish (we now have a pretty good timeline from previous years with Day) that the offense will find a rhythm and be clicking.
Thank god we had a defense to lean on tonight…..so refreshing to have a d egg w have unit out there causing havoc. So many guys to call out…….Hall, Eichenberg, Chambers, McCalister, Hickman….
They were all amazing….
Winning 21-10 probably impressed the 3 5* DEs we had there more than winning 55-35. Those were the most important uncommitted players there in the 2023 class.Eh….I don’t think we made the statement we should have. I’ll be honest, I think tonight prob hurt with most of those 5 stars.
That said, was good to see our team show some toughness in second half and find a way to win. The Miyan Williams drive was fantastic.
Props to Mike Hall who is an absolute stud. Props to Jim Knowles who earned his paycheck in 1 game (we don’t win this game with last years defensive staff).
And lastly, props to Xavier Johnson who balled out when our 5* WR studded room needed a massive pick-up with JSN and Fleming hurt.
I admit it….i feel like a spoiled fan. But this doesn’t feel like that great of a win. ND is going to end year as maybe a fringe top 25 team….they weren’t very good if we are being honest.
And there was an official standing right there. BullshitThat shot on Smith-Njigba was cheap. Should have been targeting, 15 yds and a disqualification
