Notre Dame (football only discussion)

ND Propoganda Scout $

Allegations of ND propoganda

[FONT=Verdana,Arial, Helvetica] "All of a sudden I've come to the University of Illinois, and it's the worst I've ever been around. It's unbelievable."

Zook actually does know where it's coming from this time. Or he thinks he does.

He won't publicly name the school, but it might be located 90 miles east of Chicago. The one where Rockne coached.

You can smell the Domer desperation. Their talking points for excusing CW's blowout losses were "We don't have the talent to compete with the top programs" because "Ty's recruiting left the cupboard bare," so "wait until Weis gets his players in there."

Forget their team ranking. This class was a disaster for Notre Dame. Clausen's commit was supposed to have the top prospects falling all over themselves to get in line. Clausen was their only 5-star, even in Scout's 5-star rich system. Defense was supposed to get a major upgrade. Nope.

Weis surprised everyone with his 2005 regular season. A lot of people were predicting a .500 or sub-.500 start, and Weis did very well outside of the MSU game. That paid off in a great recruiting class for 2006. He's going to have to repeat that performance in 2007. If not, things might start to get ugly.

2007 Notre Dame Football Schedule
Sept. 1 GEORGIA TECH
Sept. 8 at Penn State
Sept. 15 at Michigan
Sept. 22 MICHIGAN STATE
Sept. 29 at Purdue
Oct. 6 at UCLA
Oct. 13 BOSTON COLLEGE
Oct. 20 USC
Nov. 3 NAVY
Nov. 10 AIR FORCE
Nov. 17 DUKE
Nov. 24 at Stanford

it will get ugly. at best, i see an 8-4 season for notre ame, with 7-5 or even 6-6 being more likely.

excerpt i enjoyed reading:
Zook saw where Irish coach Charlie Weis said the word "commitment" needs to be redefined in recruiting.

It is believed Hughes gave Illinois a "silent" commitment before settling on Notre Dame.

Zook wouldn't confirm that but did say of Weis, "One of those kids that committed to him committed to me before he committed to him. Do I cry about that?"

I want agree but I don't think I can, somehow the freakin luck of the Irish will kick in and save them. I think they will get 3 losses, either Penn State or Michigan State in addition to the USC and Michigan Losses. UCLA will choke and Ga Tech will be close. I would love to see them get a sub 500 record. They will luck out in a couple games, like this year, and they have some serious soft spots in their schedule to take advantage of.

oh, of course. looking in the bookie link, there's nothing about setting up a vbet. again, i don't know how to go about setting this up.
you don't really need a vbet. Agree to a certain amount to bet. Then after the season, find this thread. The loser can make a donation to the winner under the vbplaza menu above.

that sounds like a good idea, but it assumes that we'll remember, that either will be around to settle, and that the loser will have the means.

well, i see that you're up for it, oc, so let's do it that way then. if you don't own up, i will find you and take out your kneecaps.
