For three days this weekend I will be deep in the company of Irish fans.

Each year the family gets together for a couple of football games. By tradition, one is in South Bend, all the rest are in Columbus. (Lot's of Irish in the family).

This weekend is the South Bend trip.
Given the opponent, offensively stymied yet defensively sharp MSU, I will likely take along some kind of telescopic viewer or Binoculars - all the better to see the famed line play that makes ND what it is today.

Hopefully this isn't the blow-out that some predict. But, if it is, I'll take comfort in the notion that I was one of those predicting the outcome.

I don't know if anyone else had noticed, but on the scout network, it used to be the case that you would find ND under the "More Colleges" tab.

No longer - their name has been taken from the list.

Does Scout only have room for 118 teams, or is IrishEyes simply wanting to go deep, deep undercover this year?

They're under the Big East tab now lol

"6-6 ? ? ? Anyone with half a brain knows that there is no way ND loses 6 games this year. UCLA is so overrated is funny and Penn State is right up there. The opener @ home against Georgia Tech is a lock...Yes I said a lock. A bad year will be 9-3. Losing 'The Great' Brady Quinn automatically makes ND more of a threat in big games...."

Unless they make some dramatic changes they very will may get beat by Navy and Duke, running to the last week hoping for that win over Stanford, and I am sure Stanford remembers when Ty ran it up on them while he was at ND.

Navy is within the bounds of possibility.

Duke, not a chance. They've already had their taste of fame for this season courtesy of the Buckeyes next victims.

2-9 unless things turn around this week, and if they do 3-8.
