Although, there is no reason that ND should not be pretty darn good this next season.

Here is one big reason

Notre Dame has plenty of talent, but they still haven't beaten a decent team in years. They haven't beaten a ranked team under Weis (and, in most of those games, they lost by at least 2 touchdowns).

If Weis can ever get his head out of his ass and effectively utilize the talent they have, they could be respectable. However, there's little indication that he can do that.

They will be better this year.

I think they beat Michigan by 3 or 4 touchdowns. That UM defense is going to be like watching a middle school football team.

A lot of teams are going to beat Michigan pretty badly this year. I'm not sure that's a good measuring stick.

That said, yeah, ND should be better this year.

Not at all, ND has most of it's team back with an easy schedule, while OSU got hit hard on offense and plays a tougher schedule than ND.

1) Being matched up together is one thing, looking forward to it is another.

2) Can they even be matched up outside of the BCS?
