Yet the very ex player who accused him of the racist culture has non-stop praised not only NU Football but also the culture under which he was developed by Pat Fitzgerald. His Twitter comments have been literally 180 degrees opposed to what he said in the recent accusatory article. The racial stuff was the death knell.

There’s also this. Wildcat fans should probably be rejoicing if they ever wanted a fresh start. The racial stuff is a death blow, but this whole thing also seems like the perfect out for a school who was going to have a hard time canning the legendary former player coach. He had a good run but 3 of the last 4 years have been a mess, and the 1 that wasnt was the goofy COVID year.

Yep he tried to be the Joe Pa, Bobby Bowden, Woddy, etc face of the program style coaches and like a most of those he lived long enough become a villainOl' Fitz should have cashed in about 4-5 years ago. Bigger schools, and IIRC, the NFL were sniffing around him every December/January.
