NFL says "NO" to church's super bowl party

I am wondering, I seriously don't know. What do anti-trust laws have to do with the NFL? Do they grant them special privaleges monopoly wise? (If that makes any sense at all)

I could be wrong, but does this have much/anything to do with antitrust laws. They own their product, they can determine what people can and can't do with it.

How many other pro football leagues do you see? That's what I thought...

This is as bad as about 16-17 years ago when an Art Modell lead rat patrol was cruising bars in the NEO area that were showing Browns home games that weren't sold out. This is NO shit. They were citing businesses for showing these games as a violation of infringement. They were targeting satellite subscribers and high-powered antenna purchasers as their primary targets. But, my local bar had nothing but a 40 year old antenna on the roof that was located in a high area that could bring in channel 12 from Erie or channel 13 from Toledo. I remember the owner being nervous as hell on sundays, but not stupid enough not to show the game to a room full of 50 fans.

So is any group with a 56"+ HDTV that sends out "Super Bowl" party invites is in danger of being shut down?
But, OTOH, I'm just a little upset at the church for whining about it.
They tried to provide a well-intentioned get together. Are they supposed to post dancing bananas on the website?
WWJD? I doubt he'd whine.
Whining? No. Speak out against rules which aren't right? Absolutely.

If the games aren't sold out now, don't they black out the game to the surrounding area?

If this guys even thinking about The Arena Football League, he needs a court-ordered vasectomy before he does any more damage to the universe.

And also for Buckyle, YES, the games ARE blacked out in a 75 mile radius, hence the notion of pulling the game in from Erie or Toledo.

While trying to "further their cause". The NFL is protecting against others doing this in the future who may not have "good intentions".

I don't know if they even have them.

After I read the response again, I guess they weren't whining really. Just read it wrong the first time.

I was just saying that the Arena Leauge is another professional leauge in the U.S. The NFL doesn't prohibit the Arena League from succeeding by any illegal means. They simply put a better product on the field.
