I'm going to type this in all caps to the Texans can see it.

DO THAT DEAL WITH OAKLAND AND YOU'RE GUARANTEED TO GET WHOEVER YOU WANT. SCREW CLEVELAND, THEY HAVE LEBRON.

If they do that deal with Cleveland, I WILL break copyright infringement rules and pull out the dancing banana's! :biggrin2:

Wow, that would be the ideal situation for the Browns. The only thing that really scares me about that is would this make it more likely that the Browns would draft Quinn if he were still available at 8? I have seen some mock drafts that have the Texans picking him at 8.

would they really draft quinn or russell if they got carr in a trade? there are two lines of thought. first, why waste the pick on a qb if you just traded for carr? second, it gives them the luxury of actually letting the qb sit for a year.

However, there seems to be the notion that branch is falling on teams' draft boards. if cleveland got the aforementioned trade, and washington and zona tood jamaal anderson and gaines adams, branch is likely on the board at #8.

Good point, forgot the Carr part of the trade mentioned. I was just salivating over an extra 2nd Round Pick. Yeah, they probably would go the Branch route or maybe Levi Brown if he is still there? Even though he did not blow anyone's doors off at the Combine.

Count me in the camp that wants Adrian Peterson.

If the Browns could get that kind of trade from the Texans though, you gotta take it.

Even if the Browns didn't get Carr in a trade, I wouldn't want them to draft Quinn. They already have one Ken Dorsey on the team - no need for another - and especially one with a bigger contract.

I like Peterson, but I do not think the Browns would trade the third pick for the Texans first pick, second pick, and Carr. Carr does nothing for the Browns and if a team wants to move up to get Peterson or CJ the Browns are going to get some to overpay. Now if the Texans would add next years second or third instead of Carr then maybe the Browns consider it but not with Carr in that deal.

Or, turn around and move Carr to the Vikings for an additional 2nd round pick. They could address some serious O line concerns with 4 picks in the first 2 rounds.

I said it before on another thread, the Jets took 2 o-linemen with 2 first round picks last year (Da Brick and Da Nick), and both were key in their turnaround.

The thing that doesn't add up with this is who would be the Texans QB then? A few days ago, it was trade talks with Denver for Jake, do they really think Denver would release him with so many teams in need of immediate QB help?

That would be a great trade... Carr, Frye, and Anderson would make a decent competition for starting QB. It also gives us a better backup situation if one of them goes down.
And I love the idea of getting Brown, Branch, or Okoye there along with 2 high 2nd rounders.

What a great analogy. :slappy: Right now, somewhere King Rhabuf is weeping. I am sure he will be here in no time to defend his man crush.

They could be on the inside track for Garcia ?? Word on the street is that the Eagles aren't going to keep him.

I still think Carr can be a pretty damn good NFL QB if he has a line in front of him. If that proposal came along, I'd say jump. You can get Branch or Brown at #8 to fill one of the holes on the atrocious lines. More line help with one of those 2 second rounders and add another OL in FA. Give Carr a line to work behind and I can see him becoming pretty successful in the NFL.

Looks like the Falcons have Schaub on the trading block and are wanting a 1st and 3rd...Not sure if they will get it, but that is the word at this point...

Does anyone actually think he's worth a 1st and a 3rd ?? (I mean of people here, and I'm honestly asking...)
