Patriots' Corey Dillon asks for release

BOSTON - Corey Dillon, who is 14th on the NFL's career rushing list, is likely to be playing for a team other than New England next season.
Dillon's agent, Steve Feldman, told The Associated Press on Friday that his client will ask the Patriots for his release and that the team is likely to grant it by March 2, the start of free agency.

He still has three years remaining on his current contract and was scheduled to count $4.4 million against the salary cap in 2007.

Well that goes without saying. But you can't tell me that Al Davis is seriously going to not draft a QB first when his QBs on the roster is Andrew Walter and Marques Tuiasosopo. That's not going to happen.

tuiasosopo is going to be released, and apparently Phil is interested in him. It was in an article that someone posted in bits the other day.
