They're not on the same level at all. As far as I know, nobody has anointed Charlie Frye or put him on the cover of a video game. Frye also probably doesn't have herpes.

I don't think he has ever been caught bringing weed on to a Commercial airline either. Plus didn't Charlie and the Browns beat them last year? In Atlanta?

Daunte Culpepper will be gone, either via trade or release, as Kansas City's Trent Green is pursued, Dolphins sources said. Although there is no timetable for that to happen, it is likely some movement will happen by the April 28-29 draft. The Dolphins also hope to pick a quarterback in that draft.
-- Miami Herald
So who would be the QB in Miami if Culpepper is not ready for the first game and they don't land Trent Green??

Some NFL team will find a spot for Lions receiver Mike Williams if he is released by the team in June. The Lions got it wrong by insisting that Williams play at a lower weight.
-- Detroit News
I really think Mike Williams still has a shot to be a quality WR in the NFL. He just needs a better team.

Aside from coveting Notre Dame's Brady Quinn, who likely will not be available when Miami picks at No. 9 in the first round, the Dolphins like Michigan State's Drew Stanton and Stanford's Trent Edwards, although both have durability or injury questions. The Dolphins are also interested in East Carolina's James Pinkney.
-- Miami Herald
Memo to the GM in Miami, please trade up to #3 to get Quinn. We (the fans) don't want him and we need more picks.

I read a rumor involving TB trading their entire first day to Oakland so they can take the #1 spot and take Calvin Johnson. While I highly doubt that happens......I'm praying for it like you wouldn't believe.

Hell yeah, I was just reading that too. If it is true, I can't believe that deal has not been made yet. That would be an incredible trade for the Raiders. To pick up that many first day picks and only move down to #4 where someone like Joe Thomas, BQ, or AD could still be available? That would be too good to pass up. The Raiders would get the Bucs 4, 35, 64 and 68. If you are a Bucs fan, how do you feel? Do you want Calvin that bad? It kind of reminds me of the Ricky Williams/Ditka trade back in '99. :slappy: Here's the link:

Why would the Bucs be that desperate when there is a pretty good chance of CJ being available at #4? I think that the Raiders are gonna go for Russel, and then I doubt that even Detroit would be stupid enough to draft another WR. However, I can see Cleveland holding that #3 pick hostage to use as trade leverage with the Bucs to get CJ.

NOOOOO. As a Bucs fan I have to demand the head of everyone involved if this trade rumor is true. With so many needs on that team I just can't see the sense of trading 4 high picks for CJ. I could see if there were other picks moved back to the Bucs, say the Radiers 3 or 4. It doesn't matter though this team has gone down hill since the Super Bowl.

the only way that trade goes down is if Oakland actually takes CJ, then TB pulls a Rivers/Manning type deal.

That could happen, I really think a lot of these deals are not going to happen until draft day and GM's actually know that they can get the player they want. Unless you are trading for the first pick, obviously. But I can see a flurry of trades in the first hour of the draft. I can't wait. To those of us who root for teams who usually don't even smell the Playoffs, this is better than Super Bowl time.

The Patriots have added some secondary depth...

ESPN

Pats agree to one-year deal with James

The New England Patriots, who seem to add a veteran cornerback to their secondary mix every offseason, on Tuesday afternoon reached a contract agreement with unrestricted free agent Tory James, who spent the past four seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals.
An 11-year veteran, James will sign a one-year contract with a base value of about $1.35 million. The deal, counting incentives, can be worth as much as $2.7 million.
