NFL Rumors (Trades/Free Agents)

Calvin Johnson is considered by many teams to be the best player available in the draft, and the Redskins are smitten with him as well, sources said, mulling over options to trade up to get him (the team has shopped cornerback Shawn Springs to Detroit, which has the second overall pick, again in recent weeks).

How about the Skins give us Shawn Springs and this years 1st and 2nd rounders to move up to our first round pick? Now that I would go for!

I don't understand why all the talk about trading up is to Detroit. There is a team in front of the Lions...no?

I think most are sold on the Raiders taking Russell. Plus, you have to give up the world to move up to #1.

Also, I remembered that the Skins don't have a second round pick, but I still think the Browns should talk to them about Springs. That would free up the 2nd or 3rd round pick that they most likely will use on a CB. Then they could hammer out an OL and DL.

If Calvin is there at 2, someone will make a trade with the Lions to move up and get him. I would think it would be either the Falcons or Bucs. The Falcons have the most to play with on day one, but the Bucs have the better draft position. I hear the Lions really like Gaines Adams, and they could get him at 4 no problem. If for some reason the Lions don't take Calvin and don't trade out the Browns will get a slew of trade offers of teams wanting Calvin. I don't see it happening though, he will not last past #2. We can just hope someone is hot and heavy for Brady.

I know this, but if everybody wants Calvin Johnson...take him. Make them trade with you. What's the worst that can happen....you're stuck with the best player of the draft? damn.

"The South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports that the Dolphins are still trying to dismantle their roster from last season. Wide receiver Marty Booker is now on the trading block. The willingness to part with Booker could mean the team has targeted a receiver with the No. 9 pick. The leading candidate would be Ohio State speedster Ted Ginn Jr., who recently visited Dolphins headquarters."

Bastards are just teasing me now.

Maybe he can come back as a coach?? :slappy: God, he looks like a total tool after all the shit he said on Draft day.

Why is that? He actually sounded a little bit like a team player for once. I was actually kind of impressed with teh way keshawn carried himself overall. Most of the times you could tell he knew what he was talking about and seemed well educated, as compared to how Irvin used to carry himself.
