have you seen this quoted on any web site other than Falcons message boards? a guy I work with is a big Falcons fan and he was telling me about it today and I was trying to find it on ESPIN, but could not find anything this morning. I can't believe Miami would make this trade and do the Falcons have the cap room to bring him in??
I've seen it a few places, but nothing really credible. Just a rumor for now, not sure if it has legs or not.......

Cool, just wanted to help my boy in setting expectations. He was giddy this morning and I love slamming him back down to earth. If they make this trade it is a GREAT trade for the dirty birds, especially if Abe stays healthy. That would be a sick sack combo.

rumors of Miami and Atlanta talking about a Jason Taylor for Matt Schaub deal.

If true, that's kind of baffling from the Miami front office. Why would they throw 20 mil guaranteed at Joey Porter (whose best years are arguably already behind him) to try and shore up the defense, then turn around and trade away their best defensive player for a QB that has two career starts? No offense to Schaub, I'm sure he's a great QB or else everyone wouldn't be clamoring over him, just doesn't make much sense to me.

At least the Browns got some value for him. Also reopens the AP possibility.

True that they atleast got something for him but the AP possibility was never closed with Lewis on a one year deal and the Browns were never going to pay Droughns his bonus.

The Packers do not have a single back they are now eyeing. But watch out for Cleveland's Reuben Droughns, who is expected to be released in about a week before his $1.75 million roster bonus is due. Droughns could surface in Green Bay as a superb partner to Vernand Morency.

Superb?

Meanwhile, I think way too much is being made of this Willis McGahee trade. The Ravens just gave up 3 draft picks for a guy whose career YPC (3.9) is the same as Reuben Droughns. Ouch.

Ya, they gave up too much to get him. He can produce, but for a speed back, that is not a good YPC.

Yeah, but his line in Buffalo was as bad as Cleveland, maybe worse. As good as the line can be in Balti, he could have a real nice season in 2007.
