NFL Discussion (Official Thread)

BUF could have done it with a bit more athletic ability on the edge. They forced Mahomes off the spot so many times, but just couldn't limit the damage. A Dline like... SF? On the other hand? They could get it done I think.

At the end of the day, Bills were worried about giving up a TD but you allowed just under 50 yards with a little seam throw and YAC. KC wasn't looking for a TD they were looking to stay alive. Just poor situational football.
SF almost did 2 years ago. Shut them down for 3.5 quarters. I just think they need a better QB to pull it off.

Agree with the bolded part 100%. With Buf out the way, I'm having a hard time seeing Cinci or LA/SF beat them. But stranger things have happened.

Yep you cover them off the line double cover hill and keep 2 guys deep to protect over the top and that shit never happens the D coordinator should be ripped. Even if they play the same D the DE has some awareness and chips Kelce on his way through and it might be different.

If Jimmy G hits a couple easy throws, SF likely wins that SB too.

See above that NF posted. San Fran handled KC for 3.5 quarters and just couldn't get out of their own way to make a few easy throws when they were needed. That team is 1 game away from dragging the QB corpse that is Jimmy G to a 2nd Superbowl in 3 years.

I'm happy with this result if only because the Chiefs are, IMHO, a better matchup for the Bengals. Cincinnati's ideal route to hoisting a Lombardi trophy is KC & SF. I want no part of LA & Aaron Donald/Von Miller with that Bengals OL.

The Bengals have had a nice run but it's ending next week, regardless of who won today.

SF has Bosa, Armstead, DJ Jones, Arden Key, and that Ebukam kid. They are talented and have some depth. Granted, nobody is Aaron Donald, but they're damn near as good a unit group as the Rams.

So, we have:

CIN-KC = Joey B is special, but I don’t think the Bengals have the D to pull it off.
SF-LA = My heart says SF and Shanny has owned McVay, but it’s so damn hard to beat a team 3 times in a season.

I’m about 90% confident KC takes it. Pains me to say it, but my gut leans 60/40 to LA.

I cannot stand lost angles.
