NOTHING beats the NHL playoff OT format. It's pure desperation for 20 minutes.

It is sudden death but hockey is a multi-possession game. The formats don't quite mesh.

It does seem somewhat unfair to not give Buffalo a chance to score in OT, as both defenses were equally worn out at that point. But even in the greatest games, somebody has to lose eventually.

Agreed. What they have is fine for the regular season, but in the playoffs it shouldn't end because the team who won a coin toss got a TD.

Give the other team a possession and play it out.

If they'd played another 15:00 it'd have ended 64-63. One of the teams misses an extra point. Neither defense was in any shape to stop the other.

We hear that all the time and many, if not most times, they get best. But, yeah, KC’s offense is operating at a very high level. As was Buffalo’s. Not sure anyone else can match either of them.

BUF could have done it with a bit more athletic ability on the edge. They forced Mahomes off the spot so many times, but just couldn't limit the damage. A Dline like... SF? On the other hand? They could get it done I think.

At the end of the day, Bills were worried about giving up a TD but you allowed just under 50 yards with a little seam throw and YAC. KC wasn't looking for a TD they were looking to stay alive. Just poor situational football.

Yeah, the rule is garbage. But at least it let us see Tebow beat Fat Ben back in the day.
