Don't get me wrong I'd love to see the Huskers playing top notch ball, I just don't think bashing Boise in Nebraska's defense is the best way to go about it.

Heck, I mentioned 1 game each year because you said 1 game per year. I admitted, the Huskers are certainly not playing to the level I'd like them to be playing at. And I do think they still have the potential to become much better - although it may not be this year. I have no desire to become a Boise State, but there are some relevant comparisons - their recruiting situation is even worse than ours, and their facilities, alumni and fan base is dramatically smaller but they still arguably DO manage to field a nationally relevant team most years. We should be able to be significantly BETTER than Boise State - despite any recruiting handicaps we may have.

Thanks for saying you'd love to see the Huskers playing top notch ball! Of course, I agree - and (do I have a choice? LOL) I feel the same way about the Bucks!

I didn't mean to imply Nebraska wanted to be Boise or anything. Certainly not. I just look at, well UCLA the last 2 seasons and think wtf.

its easy to overachieve one game a year when you only have to worry about that one game. Nebraska may not be what they were under Osborne but how many teams ever reach that level? They are still a top 15 program IMO. Boise is one bad coaching hire away from being Wyoming.

I don't think a change will come this year unless Bo pulls a Night Train Lane and gets himself fired by even worse poor performance on the field.

Although - the ouster of Kiffin has moved Bo up as the 2nd most winningest head coach on the coaching Hot Seat Rankings.

That graphic shows things don't change. At schools like Akron and UConn, if you can't beat TSUN, you'll lose your job.

The Nebraska defense is over here in the gutter bleeding to death after getting gutted by its first four opponents and we're talking about Joe Bauserman from two years ago. Yeesh. Leave Bauserman out of this.
