ND/Weis various topics

If it was all system, every team in America would run it. The QB has to be developed to execute that system and Weis deserves the credit for that.

Did I say it was all system? I said it was QB friendly. If a player is bad it doesn't matter what system he plays in. I was just saying that Brady Quinn wouldn't put up the same numbers if he played in an offense like Ohio State's.

Nope you said:

While I agree with that, he also runs a QB friendly offense which is going to make a quarterback look better than he might actually be.
Given the typical human intelligence, one would and could certainly infer that your comment intended to say his quarterbacks are products of the "friendly" system based on their stats and the false perception of their talent.

Therefore, in a nutshell, yes you did say that...

Peyton Manning would not put up the same numbers in tOSU's offense, does that diminish his talent? There are plenty of products of the system...look at any Florida QB from the 90's. it is all system, but Steve Spurrier deserves credit for that system and for coaching his QB to execute that system.

Charlie Weis might drive people up the wall, but the man can coach a QB.

I guess I should've worded it properly. I wasn't trying to imply that Brady Quinn was a product of the system, just that his numbers might be. If you put Brady into our offense, his passing stats probably go down a bit but he stays just as talented and good.

This isn't really relevant to the original topic but I just thought his expression was funny in this picture.
