ND/Weis various topics

So architecture/football hasn't grown incredibly since from the late 70s?

If you believe Architectural Studies are harder now then it makes Hiben's choice yet easier to understand.

You can regardless trust that Mili's point was lathered in sarcasm thus underscoring the disconnect between Weis' position that Architectural Studies and top-flight Div-1-A football is a marriage that can "very safely and easily coexist."

Either way, we are all saying the same thing, the easily part of it is what we don't buy from Weis' lips.

Grown, yes. "Incredibly", no. The biggest advances in architecture have occured outside of architecture itself (building materials and computer-assisted design). As for football, the biggest advances have been in the players themselves (bigger, faster, stronger)...safeties, corners, receivers, and even quarterbacks who could've been linebackers, and running backs who could've been linemen in the '60s and '70s. While the style of play back then was more smash-mouth, many of the gadget offensive plays of today existed back then but just weren't used much.

Looking at the first few posts in this thread (from last September), and reading the posts on Weis since December obviously shows that a lot of attitudes on this board have changed regarding the ND head coach.

I have no love for the ND program, and no fond feelings for Coach Weis, but I prefer the shots that are taken at him with a certain degree of wit and creativity to posts that involve simple name-calling.

Most definitely
I know I personally, while never a fan of ND to begin with, was turned way off by the constant ND love in the weeks leading up to the fiesta bowl.
Combine that with some of the comments Weis made, along with his refusal to end the game respectfully, I have moved into the ND/Weis-hater group...
