ND/Weis various topics

Are you serious with this BS? This is your proof?

Nope, I have this!! Every ND game is on ABC while OSU gets ABC, ESPN or maybe even ESPN2 ...

Sat., Sept. 2 Notre Dame at Georgia Tech 8 p.m. ABC
Sat., Sept. 9 Ohio State at Texas 8 p.m. ABC
Sat., Sept. 23 Notre Dame at Michigan State 8 p.m. ABC
Sat., Sept. 30 Ohio State at Iowa 8 p.m. ABC or ESPN
Sat., Sept. 30 Michigan at Minnesota 8 p.m. ABC, ESPN or ESPN2
Sat., Sept. 30 Tennessee at Memphis TBD ESPN or ESPN2
Sat., Oct. 28 Minnesota at Ohio State 3:30 p.m. ABC, ESPN or ESPN2
Sat., Nov. 25 Notre Dame at USC 8 p.m. ABC
Sat., Nov. 25 Boise State at Nevada TBD ESPN2

Wow ... The execs at Disney think Notre Dame v. USC will be a bigger draw than Boise State v. Nevada ...

Congrats NDC. I'm sure you're proud! :roll2:

Big Ten teams will have to think this "independent game against the sisters for the poor" thing through.

Is it really in their long-term interest to play Notre Dame?

Do they really want these guys to play more than a third of their season against nearby Big Ten teams, so that they can project an image of being strong when they then cut through the "sisters for the poor" games on their schedule prior to USC?

In my opinion, not. Cut them down to size. They want to travel? Let the bastards travel.
Oh don't worry about that. Their AD has come out saying they are going "back to their independant roots" and they "have enough heavyweights on the schedule" and "need to have a schedule that's conducive to success." In other words, they're tired of getting their asses kicked by real teams with a pulse, and they realize they can't survive on the hopes that their schedule will crumble and allow them to have what looks like a good season until you analyze the shit teams they played.

i would say that chief isnt representative of the ND fanbase, but just travel to the rivals main board for a spell. it seems the delusions of the ND fanbase aren't isolated to a mere few.

Good to see ND playing all 3 Service Academies this year...but they did pick up PSU and UCLA...but dropped Tennessee.

Tennessee will be improved this year. PSU and UCLA will both be lucky to finish with fewer than 4 losses. Their schedule will be just like last year. a lot of nice names, but not really strong teams.

ND will now be playing schedules like OSU plays.

So what the hell is your point? First you say OSU has no fans outside of Ohio, then you semi-back-track and seem to be saying that, well....what in the hell are you saying? Ohio State has well over 400,000 alumni living all over the world...Notre Dame cannot make that claim, nor can many other institutions...we have one of the biggest WORLDWIDE alumni bases in the country. Now if you are saying there are more people who blindly support ND without any real affiliation or knowledge of the school, you might be right...and you can have them. But if you are somehow trying to claim that Ohio State doesn't have legions of fans nationally and internationally (including alumni, of course), well...you're completely pooched on that one.

I said that OSU fans were from Ohio and moved , went to OSU or live in Ohio. I never said that OSU did not have alot of fans. I did say that ND has the largest fan base and I stand behind that statement.

Why do you all bitch about ND being the country's media darling? Simple! FAN BASE.

Yep...so we don't get to hear their fans bitch about how hard their schedule is or use it for an excuse when they suck ass. I've said all along I have no problem with a team's schedule....unless they try to pump it up as something it's not. Case in point: Last year's ND schedule. Not only did it suck post season....I was saying all along how bad it sucked PRESEASON.

Sorry domer, but that "now we're playing a schedule like the rest of the world" doesn't fly when for 20 years all I heard from South Bend over the tears were "our schedule is sooooooooo hard".

Chief, we have demonstrated, statistically, time after time, that there is no difference between the schedules Notre Dame and Ohio State play. If Notre Dame softens the strength of their schedule, then their schedule will be significantly less difficult than Ohio State's, as was the case last year.

Please see my PM.

Maybe in your retarded mind domer. When domer nation put their "tough" schedule on their sleeve and wore it for all to see as a badge of honor while proclaiming it was OK that they sucked huge donkey dick as long as they played a "tough" schedule, you can't just turn around once you realize it's NOT ok and then say "oh well, now we're just like the rest of the country".

You can't admonish something one day and then turn around and adopt it the next without catching flak
