Just played a supersim game on my laptop (at work) for my OD since I am unable to get to my 360 at the moment... I really enjoyed an underdog victory vs USC. was down by 7, less than a minute to go, 4th and 12 and I get the TD... GO for two, running an ISO straight up the gut as a Fuck you to SC and win the game 22-21

Can anyone PM me and tell me their recruiting strategy? I've been having trouble on that front for the little time I've spent on this game. It seems the people I target are almost always busts. I've found maybe 1 gem so far...any help/advice? Go for need?

It takes awhile to find many gems. You also need to cut your losses once you see one or two devastatingly bad attributes.

You also have to balance using all sixty min for certain prospects vs saving time for more scouting. Scouting for forty min for your 12th and after prospects allows you to scout more recruits in the preseason. four stars are riddled with busts as they should be. There are a lot of three star level 4* in real life. You also aren't going to have many gems in the five stars because then they'd become 88-91 ovr with four years of progression awaiting them.

This. Keeping one bust on the recruiting board is alright if you want to help with recruiting class numbers, but if he's a 5 star with 2-3 star attributes, kick him to the curb. Some SEC school will take him. :lol:

Also, make sure you are finding interest levels with the recruit. Nothing is worse than pounding a topic home to a recruit that isn't interested in that topic, even though your school may have an A or an A+ prestige rating for that category. I've noticed a few recruiting strategies work better than others, so try different ways of recruiting that athlete.

I know when I started the Wake Forest/SEC OD, I just fired away with scholarship offers rather than continuing to scout and recruit the player to find the best possible fit. You won't get as many commits early on if you take the time to scout and recruit without sending an offer in week 1, but you are going to find a lot more Gems.

The freeze issue hasn't plagued me this year (yet), but I've seen it happen. The other two items, I havent seen at all (yet).

I would also like to commend EA on finding a way to ruin most of the standard helmet face masks, which look like junior high practice facemasks with the paint chipped or flaking off

Difficulty turning a blind eye? Maybe you should play as Penn State more often.
