NCAA Football 12 + Rosters

http://www.operationsports.com/forums/ncaa-football/486085-possible-exploit-dynasty-recruiting.html
After watching all the videos, consuming all the discussion, I think there's an exploit looming that you online dynasty players will need to know about.

The CC videos spoke about being an OC or DC AND recruiting. Now, if you're a head coach, recruiting carries the weight of the entire program's success. As the HC, naturally, you need to fill roster spots with both offense and defense positions. It's in your best interest from your career's perspective too, because there are recruiting goals to be met.

But not if you're a coordinator. Since it appears that there are no recruiting goals for coordinators, what's stopping you from spending all your recruiting hours drawing from your side of the line of scrimmage? Say you're an OC from a school needing more offense. Naturally, you'd want the best prospects to come on board. To draw them in, you need to spend time recruiting them, getting to know what's important to each one, etc. Now, as that OC, you can focus your program's recruiting time ONLY on offense, ignoring defense, to further your career.

I don't recall noting any reduction in recruiting time available to you if you're a coordinator, so if you get the weekly full recruiting time, is it then possible to cheese the game to accelerate your career? Sure, some of your coaching goals might be wins, but if you develop a dominant offense, who cares if games become shoot-outs.

I hope the dev team has addressed this by cutting your recruiting time in half, or by some other AI cooperative means. In NCAA11, I turned off all the helpers, and would do the same this year.
Yea, If you want to pull a Rich Rod. You can do that.

Dynasty Tuning

Now, you will find that the CPU will focus upon players that fit their particular play style. That means scrambling QBs will be targeted by option teams, while air raid teams will look for pocket passing quarterbacks.

Finally, we've updated the incoming ratings for all generated prospects with a focus on ensuring they are consistent with the recruits on the default roster. Now you won't notice a drop off in overall player talent in future years of the Dynasty when the players on the default roster have graduated. I think you will find that some positions, in particular Kickers and Punters, will be far more accurate this year.

Will their be a School under Media Shitstorm mode? If not I don't think my Ohio State dynasty will be very accurate.

A few years ago, the NCAA games had suspensions. You could go the Tressel route and just ignore/allow everything, which would eventually lead to your team getting crushed. Heh...

Gameplay: Ohio State at Nebraska:

Ohio State's impact players are Pryor and Posey on offense and Nathan Williams on defense.

It's amazing how bad the developers are at their own game. They miss open receivers all the time and they throw right into coverage.

Looks a lot like NCAA 11. I saw some motion-shifting and some tumbleweeds(players running into the ball carrier and not affecting his progress at all).

I stopped watching 3 or 4 minutes into the video, because I've seen this game before. DBs doing crazy, momentum killing spins on what should've either been a pick 6 or a pick with momentum carrying the Nebraska player out of bounds. Dropped picks thrown right to a defender on consecutive plays.

NCAA 11 wasn't that bad. Give me legitimate zone defense and actual physics behind collisions (so the massive number of PJ Hill RB prospects have some value) and I'd be content. Sadly the latter was gone the minute EA secured their monopoly on football games :(

ABout a month away, is it too late to scrub Pryor from this game, or will it be done on the first update?

It's too late to remove Pryor, and there won't be a roster update. There never is for the NCAA games. Remember, according to EA, the rosters aren't based off real players.
