I'm pretty sure I've bought every NCAA since '98 on the release day or midnight release. This year will be no different. I'll start to get hyped when first game play video is released/more pictures

I always make sure to visit Operation Sports daily in the weeks before the game's release. They always put up good videos and screen shots. The best part is that they take requests for screenshots. I always request shots of Ohio State's depth chart, mainly to get a look a the ratings of the incoming freshmen.

I haven't either. I really only play the dynasty games this year. If I'm not actually playing online I'm playing an exported dynasty.

Patience... the PS3 '10 thread will start soon enough. I mean we are 3+ months away from the release date.

Yeah, for offense I can see it being a waste. But I can see some guys loving being a WR. But I see it as huge on defense. Now you can play as a CB and shutdown the best WR on the other team (and defensive assist would help you on that)

But I think this feature is more for offline players and casual gamers to get a different view of the game.

Maybe being the fullback would be advantageous. They're terrible at doing any sort of lead blocking. Always missing blocks or going to the wrong guy.

I also wonder how they would make it work on passing plays. Would the QB always throw it to the receiver that you're controlling? Would you have the ability to control who the QB throws it too? Where he throws it? If he leads you or intentionally underthrows the ball?

The more I think about this, the more I like it for defensive purposes. I'll have to do this year's campus legend thing with a defensive player to see how much I like being just one defensive player, without the ability to switch.

Looking at EA's official site for the game, it looks like a running back will be on the cover of the PS3 and PSP versions of the game. It's a good bet that Beanie will be one of them. Here's hoping he's on the PS3 cover.
