2025 NC OL David Sanders Jr. (Tennessee Signee)

Would that would be true, so I can stop holding my breath. Love that Paris J Jr is a 'mentor' for this young man. Lots of similarities, rankings, position, etc. No doubt tOSU is going all in on this kid, hope it plays out that way. Probably not going to be an Orlando Pace, and start at LT day one, but if he's diligent he'll be there sooner than later. Go Bucks, keep up the pressure or persistence, whichever may apply. Go Bucks! PS, am glad to see that tOSU is going after the beef, after I complained that they were going for WR, DB, etc and not the big boys in the trenches. Now, it appears that LJ jr is stepping up the DL game, and Frye is tossing out OL offers like rice at a wedding. Hope some of it hits, takes hold and grows. Go Bucks!

Glad we're firmly in the race, but we just have to close. That is a tall task with Sanders being in the Carolinas and Clemson being the other front runner, plus I have a massive degree of trepidation/skepticism based on recent past experiences. But you gotta swing for the fences here and there's positive traction. I will go on record in saying that if we do get Sanders, he would be the most important recruit in this class.

Well, not the biggest problem for Frye, but certainly up there. Going after the top 5-7 5* OL guys, can be like p*ssing upwind - not very productive. Unless of course there's something working for you. It appears that we have that with PJjr, same things noted above. Seems every college throws out the same stuff, and the upper crust universities can all point to their heritage, winning, nati's, etc. Some are better at placing OL in the league. Know that's sacralidge, (sp?), but true. Hopefully it doesn't come down to NIL $, as tOSU can be outbid easily from some of those teams. We'll see, and totally agree with RB07 in his assertion of being the most important recruit in his class. He'll certainly have a punch of great players around him for his 3-4 years in Buckeyeland. Go Bucks!

This was an easy comparison to make because Sanders has already talked about how he likes to watch Johnson and model his game after the former Ohio State star. The two offensive tackles had similar frames at this stage of their careers and even have a similar playing style – using their length and quickness to their advantages.
As Johnson got older he added mass to his frame and Sanders is doing the same thing as he nears his senior season.

Lowe and Sanders protecting the edge for any of Sayin/Noland/TSC is just a dream scenario, plus Moore I have really high hopes on. Half of that scenario is done, but if we manage to land Sanders (and trust me, we are going all in here)...I seriously have no further concerns on this class being elite.

If we don't land him, Lowe is a fantastic prospect and maybe he pairs up with Moore at the tackle spot. Moore can move inside or play tackle. But if we get Sanders, you have bookend tackles and Moore can play a guard spot. We'll figure it out, but you have to go all out on this one.

Couldn't agree more. OL is weakest position group. Good players? Certainly. Great players? TBD. Really don't see how OL could be mediocre, going against the best DL in nation, but there it is. That kinda work alone should give Frye a teaching advantage. Of the opinion that if you can hold up against LJ's corps, then you gotta be able to handle Xichigan/Georgia's DL. Put 'em in coach! Go Bucks!

Well, heck yes! If I was a QB-in-waiting, I'd want that big guy protecting my six! Or more appropriately put, my blind side. Forget which movie heard it, but as a QB once said, 'the WRs keep my name in the newspapers, the LT keeps me out of the hospital'. True enough. Maybe a conference call with Sayin, TSC, and Air talking to Mr. Sanders? And all the fluff about Day leaving aside, which program is on the upward trajectory, and which seems to be on a downward? Taint the Buckeyes going downward to be sure. Anyway, hopefully this goes the Buckeye way, as this would cement the O-line for several years to come. Go Bucks! Roll out the red carpet for this guy this weekend!
