Wow. I left for a couple hours and this thread got nuts. The first person to bring out the race card was Tibor, and he hasn't been anywhere to be seen since - he's probably lurking and laughing at the monster he created.

However, someone had to say it. It's an issue. Maybe not "THE" issue with why people don't watch the NBA, but it would be fair to say that white America does not like urban culture. And that contributes to the decline in the league's popularity.

Apparently, I'm also racist against germs. Every time I'm around them, they make me sick. Please quit being so racist against grammar and spelling.

I have a little bit of theory on basketball players in general.

From the time a lot of these guys learn to dribble, somebody is telling them they are the next MJ or Bird. AAU coaches are recruiting teams at early ages, scouting service rank freshamn and 8th graders!!!!! I dont have the time to really get into this, but most of these guys are exploited from an early age. Everyone around them sees them as a lottery ticket. The athletes feel a sense of loyalty and feel they have to take care of everyone around them. If you grew up with nothing, you arent sure how to behave when you have something. I think NBA players are a product of their environment more so than anything. They have a "me against the world" attitude. They dont trust anyone.

This could go no forever.

I knew it, you are such a racist...what you just assume that since a few germs cause problems all of them do?
