you and i have discussed this. i dont like the nba becuase the officiating sucks...

though has anyone read pros and cons: the criminals who play in the nfl? or
out of bounce:something something about rape sex and violence?

both are good reads.

the reality is that in both leagues are filled with bad people. though 70some percent of nba players have a criminal record. 40 percent of the players in the nba have a criminal record with a serious crime...

that being said check another new thread in about 2 mins

You know I love you Thump

Time to include former NBA player John Amaechi in the discussion . ESPN has been doing promos for an interview they'll air this Sunday in which Amaechi 'comes out' as being gay.

Big Papa, are you John Amaechi?

but it was only 3 of the pacers, you are unfairly sterotyping all the pacers cuz of a small minority of them

and that stroy was out this am on my way to work

Hey now. Not all Pacers are criminals. But all criminals that play basketball in uniform that say "pacers" and that play in Indianapolis are, in fact, Pacers.

Somewhere, Danny Granger is shaking his head, ala Carson Palmer, and wondering aloud whether they will have any fans left.

Wow. I left for a couple hours and this thread got nuts. The first person to bring out the race card was Tibor, and he hasn't been anywhere to be seen since - he's probably lurking and laughing at the monster he created.

I don't believe this is accurate. Race was alluded to in posts 24 and 30 of this thread, before tibor posted. And it was lurking within other statements that had been made.

I don't think he deserves any notoriety for touching off the topic in this thread.

Couple of thoughts

1-I don't see the big deal in Thomas' comments-he'd rather have a 3 day weekend than be forced to go to the All Star game and the dunk contest. Does anyone think the Pro Bowl players WANT to play another football game, or the MLB All Stars want to go to the game, instead of 3 days off?

2-The NFL has a lot more criminality among it's players than the NBA,IMO. Just look at the Chargers and the Bengals.

3-I think tattoo's are for people unarticulate enough to express themselves verbally-whether they are white, black, or Hispanic. People want to say something, but feel their personalities alone cannot do that. Kind of pathetic, I think, especially when 70% of the tattoo's out there are tribal BS, skulls, dragons, and kid's names-wow, show me some originality at least.....

4-Due to the influx of foreign players, I would say, in reality, the NBA is a more diverse league than the NFL. The difference is that the NFL plays football the way it should be played, whereas the NBA has 8 guys standing around, and two guys running an ally oop, or a pick n' roll while everyone else standings around watching, yawn city..........

2. yes i'm very against people that dont make anything of themselves. this is the United States of America and you can do anything you want to. - my dad came from nothing - dirt poor family and then has worked his whole life and is now very successful
So then you should be all for the NBA considering alot of these kids come from nothing, and make it big and continue to stay straight and help out many people around them. Not everyone is a thug like you say b/c they live the hip-hop lifestyle...

Still waiting for a response...
