Name, Image, & Likeness (NIL) at tOSU

This is the best way to handle it. Get her name out to the fan base and let her read between the lines.

Darke county is out in west Ohio where I grew up. She fucks with OSU football and she won’t be safe.
This elected person is 27 years old with a degree from Liberty University. Buckeyes or not, her voters are already beyond the pale

A lot of them aren't going to watch her screw with the Buckeyes while fighting the transgender fight no mater their views on it. Priorities and all.

There are always the hardcore fringe element though, no doubt.

Well yeah, my point is this lady is that fringe element, already elected and doing her best to fuck things up for everyone. And unfortunately it’s early enough in the cycle that nobody will remember this (which will ultimately work out anyway) or anything else important for the next vote.

I get that delaying the bill and endangering the July 1 deadline is bad for the Buckeyes.

but a politician adding a rider to a bill?

really?

this makes her different than the person you want to replace her with?

how?

frankly, that just sounds naive.

and a rider that simply protects women from having to compete with people that have been men most of their lives? Please.

let’s wait until the deadline before we send a hit squad for this woman. If the deadline is missed I’ll lead it myself. But let’s not pretend there’s anything else wrong with what she’s done. Every politician adds riders. Every one of them.

Kentucky to allow college athletes to earn off name, image or likeness

Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear signed an executive order Thursday allowing the state's college athletes -- including players on the nationally renowned Kentucky and Louisville men's basketball teams -- to make money through the use of their name, image or likeness.

The Democratic governor said he took the action as a matter of fairness for college athletes. It will spare Kentucky's colleges from being at a competitive disadvantage with rivals in other states that will have laws enabling athletes to profit off their name, image or likeness, he said.

"This is important to our student-athletes, who for decades, others -- whether it's companies or institutions -- have profited on," Beshear told reporters. "These athletes deserve to be a part of that."

Beshear said his executive order takes effect July 1, when similar legislation passed in several other states will become law. His office said he was the first governor to make the change by executive order.

OK, why can't Ohio go the "executive order" route too?

She can fight that battle somewhere else.

I agree with waiting to send the squad disagree on needing to inject business as usual politics in this scenario.

Got some texts over the weekend from family back there. Confirmed my belief.

They may actually agree with her on the cross gender position but she crossed a line. Extrapolating from that, I'd say the squad is already prepositioned and awaiting the word.

Should have done that in the first place.
