BOOM.I don't look at it that way. Reminds me of how he criticized the hurry-up offense, he knows it can be used to beat him so he truly doesn't like it.

Yup he really feared it and got beat by it so many times… Saban has adapted so well its insane… this is just a warning shot by Saban, don’t think in any way shape or form this is Dabo “I’ll quit if the players are paid”.I don't look at it that way. I agree. Had Texas A&M not done what they did, Saban wouldn’t feel threatened. It reminds me of some of Calipari’s comments back when Coach K started beating him at his own game. Oh, now you’re concerned?I don't look at it that way. Reminds me of how he criticized the hurry-up offense, he knows it can be used to beat him so he truly doesn't like it.
Hell, you know Texas A&M bought their #1 2022 recruiting class with NIL money. Other schools are doing it too and at some schools the boosters are even (publicly) bragging about it, see a few examples of news articles:
‘The 15 Fund’ launched to facilitate NIL opportunities with UK athletes
$10 million fund set up to lure athletes to University of Texas
Dan Lambert plans $500-a-month endorsement deal for every Miami Hurricanes football player on scholarship
If you want to compete at the elite level (i.e. play in January) in college football, (like it or not) you better "get with the program".
Saban apparently just threw down the “get shit under control before I make everyone regret it” statement
Alabama head coach Nick Saban, speaking at the Texas High School Coaches Association's annual convention on July 20, said that Young is nearing $1 million in NIL compensation.
"Our quarterback already has approached ungodly numbers," Saban said. "I’m not going to say what they are. He hasn’t even played yet. He hasn’t been a starter. If I told you what he’s … it’s almost 7-figures. And it’s like the guy hasn’t even played yet. That’s because of our program."
Anyone that thinks that Boosters will pony up $25-$30 million a year is a fool. Texas A&M did it this year supposedly. Say they do it three more years and it’s still 8-4 every year. Boosters stop spending it. Period. They may love their school but they didn’t get rich by being stupid.

That Schottenstein kid gives me Nevin Shapiro vibes.
To paraphrase Cris Carter: Cardale should have a "fall guy" and ensure he isn't someone else's "fall guy".Which is funny because he went to college at Miami. Something tells me this isn't going to end well. I just hope Cardale doesn't get dragged into the mud through this.
