ya know i read it but honestly i just can't believe how stupid people are. this is precisely why i am atheist and not to make this a religious topic but i find it pertinent to the ordeal since they are marching onto the VT campus and "preaching" that the students deserved to die and so on.

armed police are evacuating a campus building. there is no word as to the reason why. i would not be surprised if there was a bomb threat, as reporters have noted that there are k-9 units searching cars.

edit: new source has stated that there has been a bomb threat.

I anticipate a bunch of copy cat bomb threats nationwide, especially with the Columbine anniversary coming up. Especially HS kids know it's an easy day off if they do so.

they are saying that it is a threat on the President of the University.

I have weapons at home. I have 2 9MM handguns with 15 round clips and 2 spare clips. I also have a Remington shotgun that holds 4 shells and 1 in the chamber.

I work in a building that is "secure". By that, I mean I have to swipe my badge before entering the building. My building has two parts, the main level and the annex. The annex is about 200 yards from the main building and it is connected by what we call a "gerbil tube".

I live in a town of about 11,000 people, but during the work day, there is about 25,000 peopl in the town...similar to what they have at VaTech.

Now, if I was a crazy ass fuck, I could store a 9 MM and my shotgun in my office. I could take the other 9MM across town and randomly shoot 2 people say in a parking lot I had scouted to make sure there was no cameras. I could then drive to my office and wait two hours. My office is no furhter than a mile from the initial shooting. I could then unload my 4 clips of 9 MM shells (60 rounds) and then my 5 shotgun rounds WELL before any security or police arrive at the scene. Our security here is not armed. I could even take them out if they happened upon my rampage. And I would have both buildings I could rampage on in all the while secured inside.

Now...I COULD do all this. And if I did, it would be MY fault and ONLY my fault. However, I'd like to go ahead and blame our Chief of Police, Mayor and Mitch Daniels. Oh, Bush too while we're at it.

What could YOU do? And WHO is to blame? Come on. Let's see you use your imagination.

Thats a great point. I questions why the media was already on a witch hunt for someone to blame. You know what, take some personal responsibility. There is one person to blame in this situation and he is dead. There will undoubtedly be lawsuits against VT or the local police and it will be absurd if these parents win any money. I don't mean to be harsh but this happened and you can't blame anyone except for this stupid kid.

well there were faults in the matter but you can't "blame" the VT officials for what happened at norris. if you want to put more of a "blame" on anybody it would probably be on the guys that interacted with him frequently and/or people that knew he was "truely" disturbed and needed help or the people that just were not there to help the guy.

i dont think thats a fair judge of his demeanor - if you read the script for one of tarantino's movies you would think that he was going to go around killing people.

You are correct, I almost edited that and should have. I should have said that is likely the portion of the screenplay that is being reported as having caused some to worry about his violence.

From what I have heard, a professor even had a code word for her TA to use in case he attacked. Perhaps there are other, scarier written works of his? I don't know.

I wrote some sick stuff in school too, but I don't think that I ever inspired any code words, though, then again, how would I know? :P

To be honest I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Tarantino went on a killing spree someday....or if the cops found a dozen chopped up bodies in his basement.
