What will happen to property values when they hear someone from up north is moving in? You can try to explain it away as a buckeye returning but after awhile you lose your native status, especially where you are coming from.

I'm less concerned about explaining why I have lived in michigan the past 11 years as much as the destruction my two man wrecking crew will cause to the neighborhood. 55 kids in the neighborhood and two parks within walking distance.

I guess the neighbors on either side are football coaches. One is a high school coach and the other is on the staff at Akron U.

Well, so much for that house. The housing inspection turned up 29 items of concern. A good third of them were legit safety issues. The sellers offered us $1,000 to correct the problems. We told them all or nothing. We are now processing the paperwork to cancel the offer. Now on to Plan B.

Does anyone know a good Plan B?

Well, the good news is you are in a pretty strong buyer's market with favorable interest rates (historically), so just keep your eyes open and you should be able to find a nice deal.

Hey man, Brian Warner is from North Canton........oh, wait a minute

I claim Devo. Well, at least a couple of members of the band.

The latest is the sellers are now getting quotes on repairing everything. We are at the point of needing an answer in the next 48 hours that they will either pay for all improvements, reduce the price of the house appropriately or just have it all done themselves.

Now I remember why I hate moving! :smash:

I need this  , but all I can have now is a Diet Coke.
