Most Talented College RB This Decade

This is a good question.

I'd go with McFadden just barely ahead of AP because of the intangibles. AP is the better runner, but Darren is a fantastic receiver and can toss it well, he's just all around to me and for a RB I love to have that versatility.

Makes it even funnier that Nutt keeps McFadden out of the game in the SEC Championship.

"Let me NOT ride Darren McFadden, possibly the best RB of the last decade, to the SEC Championship. I know, let me give the ball to DICK."

One of the worst coaching decisions EVER.

Right up there with NOT pressuring Chris Leak into his career long habit of coughing up critical turnovers when pressured in a NC game. I know, lets sit back in a soft zone and let him get a good rythem going, yeah that will do it. They'll never expect that! :(

Sorry to bring it up but its hard for me to make fun of other coaching blunders (aside from CW and RR) after the debacle in the Arizona city that shall not be named.

[sarcasm]But he's gonna lead Ole Miss to glory this year![/sarcasm]

As for Perry, he was the beneficiary of a loaded offense. They had a very good line, Navarre (who, for all the crap he takes, had a very good Sr. year), and a loaded recieving core. They could've thrown just about any of their backs back there and got similar production. He was a very good back, but doesn't warrant mention in this thread. He has Tshimanga Biatchabatooko v2.0...

Other guys I thought of that should get mentioned:

Marshawn Lynch
Felix Jones
Jammal Charles
Jonathan Stewart (Top 10 Talent Wise IMO and I will argue with someone to the death on it)
Great call on Lynch. I probably disagree on Charles and Jones; Stewart was a beast.

Why is everyone forgetting about Steve Slaton? He was terrific. Also Ray Rice. The fact they played in the Big Least doesn't cancel their excellence. I'd also mention Ron Dayne, who was undeniably excellent in college.

Lynch was very good, but not great. Jones was explosive, but overshadowed by McFadden. Charles, again, good not great. Agree on Stewart...he was a beast.

Dayne's Senior year was '99.

Very good, but not top-5 material. His final season wasn't the greatest. He failed to eclipse 75 yards in Week 5, 6, 8, 9, 11, 12... and had double digit carries in all but the final.

.

Lynch was a great athlete and could have put up GREAT numbers if he didnt have to share carries with Arrington and Forsett.

Jones was a great player. Would have been a All American if it wasnt for McFadden. He obviously isnt as good as McFadden was in college, but was a Top 3 return man while he was in college and a 1,000 yard back. May end up being the better NFL player between the two.

Charles is more like Top 20, but his size and speed were deadly. He could have been sooo much better though

Stewart = Mini-God

I agree about the Perry statement. He isnt Top 5 or anything, but Top 20. I talk to Michigan fans about him and Mike Hart, and some don't even know who Perry is. I just face palm because he was really fun to watch in 03. I think he was a much better player than Hart, but a lot of people forgot about him.

That was a great heisman year overall

Fuck off. Fuck Chris Perry. Beady eyed bastard.

1. Beanie
2. Mo C

And if motherfuckers are throwing out names like Nobody Charles, then Pitt gets a mention too.

AP and not even a moment's thought needed.

Best College RB this decade.

Fun though Bush was to watch, he wasn't your prototypical RB, he'd be in my top 5 players of the decade though, regardless of position.

LOL

And about Jammal Charles. He is the 4th leading rusher in UT history behind only R. Williams, C. Benson, and E.Campbell. He was a all american track champ and was an elusive runner. He isnt anywhere near the elite, but he is a honorable mention
