MO WR Jeremiah McClellan (Oregon Signee)

Either get in or don’t. Of all the position groups in college football, this is the one that needs to deal with players messing around the least.

Exactly, we don't need another WR. He would be nice, but the farthest thing from a need. Hope he ends up in Columbus, but if not we're just fine and I'll do the Jerry/Elaine shrug.

I'd love Jeremiah to be a part of this class. Dude would compliment the guys we have in the last 2 recruiting classes really well

With that said though, he might have overplayed his hand with that Missouri BS over the weekend. Flat out, Missouri is NOT going to develop you for the next level like Ohio State is, and the world knows that

I get that he's trying to get that bag, but... c'mon bro

Birm has made it very clear that Ohio State has an NIL package for WRs that they don’t budge on. Inniss and Tate both chose Ohio State for the development over much larger NIL offers from Tennessee and Miami.

Whoever gave McClellen the impression he had leverage over what Ohio State put on the table gave him some really bad advice… unless he’s trying to leverage Oregon’s offer, in which case I wish him the best.

Big boy decisions with big boy implications

Not an easy thing for many youngins

Always cracks me up hearing a recruit declare by saying “For the next 3-4 years I’ll be attending….”

I’m thinking….slow down there partner. Just be grateful a top school is willing to invest major resources to make you the best player and get the best education possible.

Maybe it will take you 5 years to get there. Nothing wrong with that.

Now with NIL it just clouds it even more. Crazy times man.

It’s easy to me, like Super Marv said recently….if NIL is your thing…..uh,
good luck.

With the track record of Hartline and Day for developing WRs…good gracious…I would only be thinking about how I can maximize this incredible opportunity to be developed….and I wouldn’t care how long that took or what the bag was like.

That’s why Scary Terry is my favorite player of the last decade or so. Such an easy guy to root for.

Strange enough, another Missouri native Cameron Babb can attest to your message on the value of what Ohio State can provide if you invest. Marvin Harrison might have been pointing to this one without being obvious...or not, would be happy to have him in Columbus but we will be fine either way.

Honestly, I’m not sure that there’s anything that summarizes my feelings on ‘where should I go’ baiting in social media any more than the above. Not necessarily specific to this recruit, but certainly inclusive.

Not that anyone is worried about WR recruiting, but:
Birm said it was a decision the family needed to make; whether they wanted Missouri NIL money now (apparently Missouri state law says you can get it right away), the significantly larger NIL money being offered by Oregon (but presumably delayed by a different state law), or the delayed NIL package from Ohio State and trusting in the offense/development to get him even more money in the NFL.

If there’s positive Ohio State vibes coming out, it seems like we know the answer the family has arrived at.
