Just wait until the 4th WR is Jojo Trader or Micah HudsonTurn out the lights defenses, the party's over! 3rd WR for this class is as good as McClellan? LOLOLOLOL
Really like McClellan and would be thrilled if he commits, but I wonder who all has the green light at WR at the moment. Not sure who would be the preference on Trader and Hudson, then McClellan is right there I think, and Moore I think might be in soon and has his own skillset that I think sets him apart in terms of having a diverse WR room. Consensus seems to be we will take 2 more at WR and if that is the case any 2 of the 4 I listed would be awesome. Guess you would have to be a fly on the wall in the coaches room to really know but McClellan seems to be one to keep an eye on.I feel like he's just waiting on the coaches go ahead to commit
Yeah, I’m with @Bestbuck36 , I think he and probably Moore are waiting on the green light. EspeciaLoy with recent positive news regarding Trader. And the program that is battling OSU for his services(Miami) has to show a much better season to land him, imo. I think Hudson is staying in Texas. And you just don’t say no to Trader. A kid who’s two way Ability is reminiscent of Travis Hunter. Probably is the case, Trader would be my slight preference over the rest of the field but he's going to give recruitniks the roller coaster until he commits. I would say Hudson would be next in preference but yeah, probably not leaving Texas...just think we are still in that one even if the odds are not in our favor. If McClellan is waiting for the greenlight, which may very well be the case, he might not have to wait too long to get it.Yeah, I’m with @Bestbuck36 , I think he and probably Moore are waiting on the green light. Pretty much how most of it goes down unless they tell a group first commit gets the scholly. So in that instance do coaches grant the okay when they feel the door is almost closed or closed with their preferred option? Eg Hudson tells Hartline thanks but I’ll roll with UT then do they give a cat like JM a call and say if you’re ready to for it?
I’m sure somewhere in there it’s a bit of an oversimplification but you know what I mean?
That is pretty much it, it seems like our staff is in good communication with the recruits on whether an offer is committable or not, and what the timetable is. To be clear, I am doing some guesswork on McClellan, he may very well have the greenlight from the staff. Great player that I would love to have onboard. So in that instance do coaches grant the okay when they feel the door is almost closed or closed with their preferred option? Frankly I wouldn't be holding my breath on Trader or Hudson, so my personal opinion would be to take the commitment here if he is ready. Obviously the staff has this recruiting thing down (especially at WR), I am mostly saying this because if we land McClellan and miss Trader/Hudson, this is far from a "Plan B" type scenario.
