Nick is a tough kid that loves to bang, I wouldn't totally discount him, he'll put up a better showing than Shields IMO.

Maybe should've worded it differently.....I know Nick is tough & can bang, but I just don't think anyone is on GSP's level in the division. I'd love to see him prove me wrong, but I just don't see it happening.

UFC champ Jon Jones: I'm fighting Quinton "Rampage" Jackson next

The hand injury that Quinton "Rampage" Jackson sustained this past Saturday at UFC 130 is serious – but perhaps not serious enough to stall his career.

As light-heavyweight champion Jon "Bones" Jones (13-1 MMA, 7-1 UFC) tells it, Jackson (32-8 MMA, 7-2 UFC) will get a shot at his belt.

"I'll be fighting Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson next," Jones told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) on Thursday. "I'm not allowed to discuss the date because I didn't sign a contract, but yeah, it will be very soon."

Contd....

To anyone who didn't receive a PM from me, we are trying to get as many BP members as possible to participate in the 2nd MMA pound-for-pound poll. Same idea as our 1st poll, just submit your top 10 pound-for-pound fighters in chronological order. If you are interested in taking part, please PM me with your list. Also, please feel free to post your ballot in the p4p thread linked below if you would like everyone on the board to see it.

Thanks!

Lol!

It was pretty obvious Aldo won the first four rounds of that fight. Hominick deserves a lot of respect for the courage & heart he showed in coming back and winning the fifth despite being beat into bloody mess in the earlier rounds.

I think it's worth noting too that almost every single WEC fighter has struggled in their UFC debut. Condit, Faber, Aldo, Munoz, Pettis, etc. Maybe you can attribute it to finally fighting on the big stage, I don't know.

I would even throw the Strikeforce fighters in there too. Shields struggled as well, although, he was fighting GSP. But I've noticed this as well.
