Mixed Martial Arts (Official Thread)

I would love to be a fly on the wall if Fedor ever negotiated with the UFC in the near future (after the fallout from a few years ago and Fedor's three-fight losing streak).

Still remember Dana White coming out and saying M-1 Global wanted a percentage of the company (Zuffa) for nothing (just to have Fedor fight in the UFC).

But since the UFC owns Strikeforce now, I doubt Dana would make too much fun of Fedor and his current losing streak.

Great escape from Hendo to start the move.

Fedor Emelianenko?s time under the Zuffa umbrella has come to an end.

The former Pride champion and Russian legend has been released from Strikeforce following his third loss in a row, the latest coming by way of TKO to Dan Henderson this last weekend in Chicago.

UFC president Dana White on Thursday confirmed his release to MMAWeekly.com.

Sure is a good thing his "management" could never come to terms years ago. That really paid off well in the end.

Evans looked good tonight...or Ortiz looked like an old guy fighting on 5 weeks rest.

A little bit of both, I think. I noticed the same. Tito looked a little slower recovering from some of the shots he was taking but was still fighting very fundamental. At the end of the day, Rashad Evans is on a mission. To get that LH title back, from his once teammate, now enemy. I hope he gets that shot. Pure fireworks in the ring will ensue.
