Mississippi State Bulldogs (official thread)

I love how the trophy case just plugs into the wall behind it, like they bought it at Trophies"R"Us or something.

Yeah, like the state of Mississippi would have their own Trophies R Us. They had to drive all the way to Alabama to find one.

They've got a one trophy trophy case

that's more trophies and cases than i expected them to have.

i mean this is the school that keeps a permanent banner outside their stadium celebrating their 1 point victory over 2-8 LSU in '99.
as in the won by 1 freaking point against the statistically worst team in the history of LSU football and they hung a banner to celebrate.

You sure it's a banner and not a rail?

all to celebrate squeaking by (at home) against a team that:
  • set school record for most consecutive losses
  • was blown out of the water by 6-6 Kentucky. in FOOTBALL
  • was blown out of the water by 5-6 Auburn
  • tied school record for fewest conf wins in a season
  • 2nd worst winning % in school history
  • fired the coach before the season even ended

but then again, what else can you expect from a team that only managed to beat us twice since Guns N' Roses was still on the Use Your Illusion Tour.

Dan Mullen passes the buck, explains his family values, but then realize blood runs thinker than water... or something....

Mississippi State head coach Dan Mullen wanted to talk about family at SEC Media Days yesterday, particularly when questions turned to five-star recruit Jeffrey Simmons. The freshman defensive end was hit with a one-game suspension in June, after video of him beating a woman emerged online.
