Mississippi State QB Prescott injured in fight at concert in Florida

Mississippi State quarterback Dak Prescott was injured during a fight at a concert in Panama City, Fla., on Monday afternoon while vacationing during spring break, a school spokesman said.

Bill Martin said he spoke with Prescott about the fight, which also involved teammates Torrey Dale and Damian Williams. Martin said Prescott suffered facial cuts after being hit with a bottle, but did not have to go to the hospital and police were not involved.

Prescott appeared bloodied and dazed in photos and video that surfaced on social media Monday.

However, Prescott tweeted on Monday night that he is OK:

Thanks for all the Concerns and Prayers! I'm okay and ready to get back to Starkville. Ignorance happens! Be safe on Spring Break!

According to multiple reports, the incident took place outside a Waka Flocka Flame concert. The rapper was scheduled to perform at Club La Vela at noon ET on Monday.

Martin said Prescott did not want to press charges and the three players are headed back to Starkville.

Hopefully he is OK, we remember what happened to Ty Moeller at a Florida bar back in 2010.

It appears the acclimation process to SEC football seems to be trending towards sooner.

While the Baylor saga plays out on a national scene and fans and media members are outraged by the events. MSU has taken on a kid with a charge for striking a woman. Showing that yet again, smaller schools with aspirations to play at the big boy table will do what is needed to compete...

hey, c'mon now. They suspended him for the first game.

All he did was throw punches at a woman who was on the ground.
