my favorite is campbell's tomato, made with milk, and a grilled cheese sammich to go with it.

Yeah, I'm with BSiGA on this one. Chili and gumbo ain't soups, they chili and gumbo. Chowders, stews - not soups. That said, I'll go with beer cheese, but there's nothing quite like a big bowl of homemade chicken.

I've heard in the Rumor Mill that some "un-named" posters favorite soup is not what they claim it to be...Who could it be?

Have your wife look in the "soups" section of any cookbook and there you will find chili.

On our lunch menus here at school it even says chili soup.
