Seriously, I wasn't and am not a Vick hater, but I have been critical in the past, so I'll say it, he played a great game this week. We'll see if he has more performances like this one or the Jets game down the stretch.

By the way, I won't speak for anyone else, but personally I say that being overhyped and being a bad player are not the same thing...in fact they are totally separate. I think Vick is overyped, but that doesn't mean one has to hate him or think he's terrible. He needs to work on his passing, and he did very well with it this week...credit to him.

I agree with you that overhyped and being a bad player are two different things, but I disagree that he is overhyped. He is overhyped b/c it is very hard to stop a mobile qb b/c even when you cover everything he can escape and make a big play.

As we seen on saturday he is capable of throwing the ball very well, so with a couple more years of experience we could see a deadly weapon.

QBs like him can be very sucessful in college football...dominating forces. But in the NFL...they are inconsistent. Just like Stewart...inconsistant. Look at Carson Palmer, Peyton Manning, Ben Roethlisberger...all consistent. Vick could outplay all of them on a certain day...and he could be the worst QB on a certain day.

Would I want vick on my team? It depends who else is on my team. I think he would hurt teams that are the best in the country besides the QB...but I think he would help teams that are the worst in the country besides the QB. If I had a supporting cast like the Steelers do, I wouldn't want a guy like Vick. But a team like the Texans, or a team like the Cardinals would be A TON better with Vick...whereas if you put Roethlisberger on one of those teams, I don't think he would help very much.

I think Vick helps Atlanta...without him I don't think they'd have a shot at the Super Bowl...with him...they at least have a shot.

Vick would actually be awesome on the Steelers, think about it. Power running team with a great D. Pretty much the same thing he has now. Although I think Warrick Dunn is better than anyone the Steelers have at RB. You put Vick on a team like the Texans or Cardinals and it's pure chaos. That would be an awful team, no OL to protect the QB, no real run game. Vick would be killed in the first week or two because it would be all out blitz and no one could block for him. Not sure I follow your reasoning.

I think he was saying more that he is going to have bad games like every QB, but just b/c he had them that they should lay off him and not say is isnt good anymore.

i wouldnt say he played like shit. not great qb numbers but he wins the games and gets the job done in amazing fashion. i actually applauded his speech afterwards. the guy has been taking shit saying he cant pass the ball so he goes out and has a field day to prove to everybody that he can. the press are the idiots. this is a guy that made the pro bowl and went almost 100% in completion percentage in the first half of it.

im not saying he's not a good QB, im just saying that i think he is overrated by the media/fans, and that he should be averaging more than 6 yards a carry for as much as he relies on himself running and as a primary QB scrambler. When a QB decides to run, especially vick, it should be for some big yardage alot of the time.

Since when is 6yds/carry not good enough. If you figure that he gets into 3rd and 6, you still have a chance to get the first down if the pocket breaks down, b/c he can take off.

Lets keep in mind this is only his 4th year in the league and he was out for one whole year. I don't believe Peyton was talked about being the stud he is until his 5th or 6th year so lets give him a break.
