Mike Vick (Pittsburgh Steelers)

Vick sucks. In the ESPN commercial, a team of professionals is losing 14-10, to a fucking high school team, with 8 seconds left in the ball game. Not only that, but LT threw the game winning TD. Obviously Vick was not trusted enough, by the Bristol coaches, to throw that pass.

Obviously Briscoe OC Urban Meyer is incapable of making a normal playcall. The real surprise is that he didn't run a triple reverse pass finishing with a hook and ladder.

Atlanta's D is solid.
Wait until DE John Abraham gets back, the D is nasty this year. If Atl. runs for 250+ yards every game it won't matter how many yards Vick throws for. Jenkins and Crumpler had multiple drops again yesterday, not sure what Jenkins is doing. Some of the balls hit him right in the hands and he just drops them. Upsetting to watch as he was my favorite guy from the NC team.

Couldnt agree more. Also had the long td pass to Alge called back on a phantom holding call.

As for his INT I am still pissed with 1st and goal from the 2 and the best running game in the NFL and they don't run the ball. What the hell is up with that....

I think Mora is making an effort to give Vick more chances for TD passes this year. He made a statement to that effect before the season started. Horrible call at the the time, if it was when they were way up then I'm fine with it. Who cares just win baby....

He also ran a pass play where Jenks had man to man coverage on the goaline and he could not shake the guy on a simple out route. I am kind of upset with Jenks play, as I really thought he was going to have a breakout season after his nice preseason but he has really been struggling. I think it is time for him to live up to his first round selection.

no doubt about that. Can't get seperation at all it seems. Lelie is the best WR Atlanta has as Roddy White has been a huge bust. White has frying pans for hands and Vick has no confidence in him, with good reason. I wonder if Vick gets to 1,000+ rushing yards if it will actually hurt him in the eyes of those who are critical of him. I would imagine the "see he should play RB/WR" crowd would be out in full force.

Where is all the Vick hate this week?????

I don't hate Vick. I the hype for Vick. I think he's a grade A punk and have zero respect for Mr Mexico but I don't hate him.

My stance on him as a player remains unchanged. Great runner-horrific QB. 6 years in the NFL its safe to say he's never going to be even a decent passer. Once the wheels go he's got nothing but a case of herpes to offer.

2006 YTD:
50% comp
3TD 2 INT
522 passing yards
69.8 QB rating

Thats pathetic even by his standards.

I just thought you guys were going to be jumping at the bit to knock on his INT and the fact that he couldnt get them in the endzone.

Haha, well I didn't say it, you did.

By the way, to all of you Atlanta fans who get touchy with the "Vick should be a WR/RB" theory, why oppose it? He would be a great slot man, kick returner, and outside runner. Wouldn't you want to use his athleticism on almost every play, rather than having him be throwing or handing the ball off most of the time?

I oppose it because it is stupid. Reread what you typed and tell me how that makes any sense. Have him use his athleticism on almost every play as a returner, slot WR and sometimes RB? How many touches is that per game 10 maybe? How about have him touch the ball EVERY play as a QB? You do realize that makes very little sense right? Atl. will be trading Matt Schaub this offseason for a 1st and 3rd round pick and thankfully that will make the "change positions" argument moot. Unless you want him to go to WR and have DJ Shockley (Atl. 3rd stringer) start at QB....:yow1: :frown2:

You do realize that receivers and runningbacks are important to the game without the ball. He doesn't have to catch / run the ball every play, but he will sure as hell take a ton of defensive attention everytime he is lined up outside at receiver. That will also open things up for your so called "poor receiving corps", and also the running game. That is how you use him on every play, getting touches and being the decoy.

And I would hope he would get more than 10 touches per game combined at those 3 positions, if that makes any sense to you.:roll2:

It doesn't. Use him as a decoy to open up the running game? The running game that averages over 200+ rushing yards a game, is #1 in the NFL and that Vick is the key factor for making work? Yeah sounds like a grrrrrreat idea. No thanks, I'll take him at QB for now.
