Mike Vick (Pittsburgh Steelers)

Naturally - Hill failed to interview any fans that were sickened and disgusted by the act. Or interview Blank - who lost tens of millions when Vick lied to him. Or Falcons players - who flushed away a year of their career when Vicked fucked over his teammates

Certainly. Just never, ever, again with the Falcons

I love the fans who rant on Vick on their way to enjoy their crippled-from- life-in-a-small-cage veal entre'.

And I love how his fans don't get that what he did to the animals is usually a sign of future serial killer like tendencies.

Hypocrisy abounds on both sides.

heh - this has been a popular and oft-repeated argument by the Vick supporters in Atlanta. It typically follows:

1. You Redneck Racists! How can you go and legally hunt animals during the government approved season and then complain about Vick???/11

2. You Redneck Racists! We're just talking about dogs here, why aren't you more concerned with what you're doing to a man??? (Again - ignoring the law here, a common theme).

I agree with TO that Vick should be allowed to play immediately. As always with TO, however, he has to go to the extreme and say that Goodell should be put in jail for two years and see what its like.

I must have missed the part where Roger Goodell tortured and killed animals for sick pleasure.

NEW YORK (AP) -- Michael Vick was conditionally reinstated by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell on Monday and could play in regular season games as early as October. Vick can immediately participate in preseason practices, workouts and meetings and can play in the final two preseason games -- if he can find a team that will sign him. A number of teams have already said they would not.

I think Vick is really hurt by the bad economy in terms of getting a shot...the number of teams not willing to risk a single "I have dogs so I am not renewing my season tickets/buying any tickets this year" letters is very high right now. My guess is he will get a shot in TC somewhere, but he's basically going to be treated like an undrafted free agent in terms of making the roster.

No; Mike Vick will make a roster. At this point in camp it would be pointless to sign someone who wasn't going to make the roster in the first place. As well all know in the USA, football is king. A team in its death throws will take a chance on him, and their fanbase will accept him because they need some kind of spark, but on the pretense that they are going to help in his "rehabilitation."

Maybe, but all I'm saying is that if he isn't as good as 3 other QBs on the roster, there's no reason to even think about keeping him, because he isn't going to bring any good publicity and no one is going to pay him a front-loaded guaranteed contract, so teams won't have any money in him either. Ergo...undrafted free agent.

Apparently the phone of Vick's agent is already ringing with interested teams according to a story posted on Profootballtalk.com Clayton: "The phones are ringing" | ProFootballTalk.com . I would think that if his talent level is still as high as it was when he went in the can that he will have multiple suitors and the price for his services might go up. Not in terms of contract value but in a expanded role on the team at first and then maybe in actual value of the offer.
