I?m gonna be totally honest here?. When this whole thing went down, I was crushed. No matter what people say, white or black, Vick was Atlanta..Vick was the ENTIRE FRANCHISE. We all cheered him..with him naturally receiving more scrutiny from whites, unfortunately. I have hated the Falcons since then. Not Mr.Blank or the team itself caused this hate, but the fans themselves caused it. I understand fans being upset about his crime, but to bring all of the racial hatred that has plagued this city out in the open and for ?certain fans? to say that Vick never did anything positive on the field for this team and say that he?s the worst qb ever really pissed me off. I got to thinking?.these people really don?t look at the big picture and just look at completion %s and qb ratings instead of WINS. He has a winning record as a starter and I thought that counted for something?I guess winning only counts for Ryan, lol, not Vick, the man who put atlanta on the map for real. That?s why I hate the falcons?and many people feel the same way as I do. I?m not saying that Vick was the perfect qb, but he played hard for this city and it wasn?t appreciated by ?certain fans? here. I do know one thing, Ryan will never win this city over. ATL will always be Vick?s city, and the Falcons will always be Vick?s team, even when he comes here with his new team. The city of Atlanta loves you, Mike Vick, and you?ll receive your 2nd chance. It will be a comeback like never before and Falcons section of the AJC will always be about The Great Mike Vick. Redemption Time is Here.

But, he has paid his debt to society. Nothing he does now can ever change the past. Black-White-Green, he deserves a second chance. If there are further NFL sanctions, then let them decide.
The culture of dog fighting and abuse or animal abuse is something most of us will never understand. The same goes anytime a stronger more dominant figure abuses a weaker person or animal. But he has paid his debt.
He should work with the SPCA and others to atone.
This should not be a death penalty either personally or professionally.

Race is the only thing that matters to these individuals. They don't care if the team wins or loses. Sometimes I hate this town.

Jemele Hill: Falcons fans fell in love with Michael Vick in 2001, and emotions still run deep in Atlanta - ESPN
Please explain."I'm rooting for him," said Chea Smith, a 33-year-old Tennessee transplant and ardent Vick fan who has lived in Atlanta for the past decade. "I just feel like he got a raw deal."
Smith is one of those Vick fans who stopped supporting the team. In fact, she was so mad about how the Falcons treated Vick that when she attended games last season, she wore opposing teams' jerseys.
"I couldn't get a Reggie Bush jersey in time, but I wore black and I wore the beads I got when I was in New Orleans," Smith said. "I can't support a team that threw a player under the bus."
Smith fears the media frenzy and scrutiny in store for Vick will prevent him from ever getting a true second chance. She thinks he's leaving one prison for another.
"[When Vick is released] they'll have the split screen on TV, like with O.J. [Simpson] and the Bronco," she said. "He won't have any peace."
