Your post, as a Nebraska fan, suggests that Coach Stoops is a disloyal person if he elects to go to OSU instead of Nebraska, and that isn't fair to Coach Stoops.

I wouldn't see anything disloyal in Stoops chosing to come to tOSU.
I'm still wondering whether he'll get a HC opportunity at a smaller school though.

OU football: Could Mike Stoops be waiting on Brent Venables?

The Mike Stoops Watch continues. We can even add Iowa, Stoops? alma mater, to the list that also includes Ohio State, Nebraska, Arkansas and Oklahoma. Where will Stoops land?
Fired in Year 8 as Arizona?s head coach, Stoops is back on the open market as a defensive coordinator prospect. Ohio State, Nebraska and now Iowa, with the announced retirement of Norm Parker after the Dec. 30 Insight Bowl, are looking for defensive coordinators, though the Buckeyes have interim head coach Luke Fickell to fall back on if they desire. Arkansas did have an opening, but it?s been filled.
Which leaves OU, which does not have an opening. But speculation has mounted that Bob Stoops might summon his brother back to Norman.
Is it possible that Mike Stoops is waiting to see if current OU defensive coordinator Brent Venables lands a head coaching job. Places like Southern Miss, Colorado State, Houston and Arkansas State seek head coaches. Venables long has been considered a potential head coach. If Venables should leave, Bob Stoops? decision is made easy. Come back, bro.
But if Venables does not get a head coaching job, it would be very uncomfortable for Bob Stoops to bring back Mike. To either demote or fire Venables would not be Bob Stoops? standard operating procedure. Mike Stoops and Venables spent five years together at OU as co-coordinators, but Mike Stoops clearly was the leader of the defense. It would be very combustible to put the old gang together. Eight years have past.

But with Ohio ties, recruiting ties out west, name recognition, and the defensive pedigree, I thought he would be our top target.

On that note..
I present to you...the MAN-E-FACES of Charlie...if HE can get a job....hope reigns eternal for anyone else.

Ferguson, director of Massachusetts General's surgical residency program, and Hodin, a surgeon and professor at Harvard Medical School, said internal bleeding was a well-known complication of the stomach stapling surgery. They said they believed the bleeding would stop on its own and were concerned about performing a second surgery because of the risk of a pulmonary embolism.
Ferguson testified Weis ignored his advice and pushed to have the operation done quickly rather than going through a recommended six-week preoperative program.
