Good god...what is the tensile strength of that belt?

I have a coworker who had that surgery. She lost a bunch of weight initially, but then it started coming back, and she's now about where she was before the surgery.

Funny what shoveling in 5000 calories of donuts a day will do.

Some people forget the 'life style change' part that is stressed as an important long term partner with the surgery.

Sorry, slick. Still figuring that one out. But we do have some interesting data thus far...

We may be known for ag research here, but dammit, that's something I think would benefit all who travel near him.
Keep working, man! For the safety of those in Memorial Stadium, Lawrence, Kansas and surrounding states...you don't want to be around if that thing lets go...

Probably made of the same material as an aircraft cargo tie-down strap...
Looks like it might be an arresting cable from an aircraft carrier...maybe some of our veteran posters can corroborate.

Looks more like a heavy duty ratchet strap to me....

Bit fancier than that. I was thinking seat belt from a car. You know those things also have a tensile strength of ~5000lbs? They have to be rated so high for getting in car wrecks and/or Charlie racing for a new plate of ribs coming out of the kitchen at Hometown Buffet.

You really don't want an ordinary belt. An FIA-approved racing harness will provide a lot more tensile strength and superior latching.

Unfortunately, they are also designed for quick release. :dead:
