To be honest, my first thought in the "where does he end up" saga was the University of Kentucky.

Brooks said after the bowl game that he was 80% not returning, so the possibility is there.

I know that Joker Phillips is the "coach in waiting", so there's probably no way this happens.

However, they run a offense similar enough to TTU that this hire would not be a huge change (like the asscrippling that is Mich1gAAn).

Also, as we know by looking at the recent basketball coaching decision in Lexington, "character issues" can be easily smoothed over with wins.

My $.02.

What about Kansas...that would be interesting. Or maybe an OC gig at KSU with the "head coach in waiting" tag under old ass Bill Snyder...

Something doesn't add up. I'm a Tech alum (grad school) and there has to be more to this. This is the school that hired Bob Knight for Christ's sake. Anything short of shooting the kid in the face is pretty much culturally acceptable punishment in Lubbock. What did Leach really do? Kick the AD's wife or fuck his dog or something?

Actually, DickWad would be a good fit at Tech. No defense required conference, can't recruit well enough at that shithole for a pro-style offense to work, will get out of town before the scUM villagers with torches run him out on a rail, and can blame his lack of success on LLLLLoyd better by leaving now rather than after year three's failure.

Adam James is a pussy AND a snitch. That won't get you far in life kid. I feel for Leach. This was the quickest firing I've ever seen over one (very questionable) complaint, from one kid, that didn't even seem like it was done being fully investigated. Sure I thought Leach would be fired in the near future anyway, but not now...not for this.
