i love reading about these small schools demanding more respect. it's freaking hilarious at times.

here in Louisiana, USL is the freaking poster child for this type of behavior.

a few years ago, they changed their name to Louisiana-Lafayette (same year Northeastern became Louisiana-Monroe)
Monroe accepts their place in the world, and calls themselves ULM

USL on the other hand refuses to be called ULL.
they DEMAND to be called "Louisiana", and think this puts the, on par with schools like Texas, Bama, Michigan, etc.


They also swear up and down the only reason LSU is any good, is because they hog all of the state tax dollars to fund the football team.
A simple google search would show that not only does LSU athletics not accept a single cent of tax or tuition dollars, it actually GIVES $7mil a year back to the academic side of the school.

Beavis Fredo has really worked itself into a frothing mess over the O-H-I-O flags. They're closing in on three pages, digging up various t-shirts on the web and threatening to call in the lawyers.

Beavis Fredo really amuses me when they try and take matters into their own hands. Don't they know that their traditional role is to carry water for Fredo of Ohio and take their orders from Oxford.

The close ups of the cheerleaders and hearing them yell "let's go Ohio" just about made my head explode. I think it's time to revisit that agreement because I am sick of Ohio A&M Violating OUr name!

We really should do something. Even if the university isn't willing to...I'd be willing to chip some significant $$$$ in for a law suit....even if it only raises some awareness of the issue. I'm sick of them using OUr name.

For instance, on Saturday, a Facebook friend of my wife right before the O$U kickoff typed O-H-I-O and had lots of likes hit her comment. I typed S-T-A-T-E? O-H-I-O was idle.

The friend can remain ignorant or she can figure she did something... It is up to us to let those who make the error understand the difference.

When did Oklahoma un-copyright the "OU"? Sounds like the bobkittens might want to refrain from using the "OU" in any way shape or form regarding the University System of Ohio member from Athens. Someone might want to take legal action.

Now, they can always use AWU (American Western University) with no legal problems.
