Michigan State Spartans (official thread)

There is no evil in the animal world. That is an invention of only man.

I beg to differ:

Watch the Planet Earth series' and come back and say that again. The concept of evil is manmade. There are some pretty f'd up acts in the animal world, they just can't comprehend that they are f'd up.

Except for tigers and orcas. Tigers will attack for revenge, and orcas play with prey for no reason other than they feel like being assholes and have no intention of eating.

Seeing a lot of comparisons to Penn State and here is the big difference (imo if all accusations are true):

Pen state covered up child rape specifically to aide the football team/false idol icon coach. Football was, and still is, clearly a priority over anything and anyone and therefore should have received the death penalty.

MSU appears to have engaged in the cover up of sexual assault for personal/group CYA and perhaps to cover the deviant behavior of others. I don't see how shutting down a bunch of non revenue sports helps.I do see firing/imprisoning every last single solitary member of the athletic department that turned a blind eye but again, not a death penalty.

We constantly look at animal behavior through the human lens. We put human behavior on our pets but they are in another universe. Animals are driven by survival and reproduction. Eating and reproducing.
