Jameis Winston.Unfortunately, not having enough evidence to prove a crime is far from the only reason that cases don't result in convictions. There can be coverups, payoffs, witness intimidation, political reasons, and other instances of poor judgment, selfishness, and human failure that hinder getting an appropriate result within the legal system.
The Lima paper just repeated the exact same story from ESPN where the prosecutor said the defense presented witnesses that contridicted the accusers details.
Basically a he said she said that the prosecutor decided in pleading out.
How is that Izzos fault? He should have fired him for being charged but not convicted?
He was fired for the alleged gang rape though no charges appear to have been filed.
That's a different assertion than the one I corrected. And it would be ruinous for society to adopt a mob mentality
Well hang on now. Waiting and seeing does not equal questioning why a person didn't go to the police. Now you're moving into doubting the accuser territory.Exactly what I have been saying, wait and see. For some reason that is not a solid position for some on this thread.
So far I haven’t seen much.
As for Spacey, I saw plenty including his admission. So not a good analogy.
It’s called due process. I will form my opinion as evidence emerges. So far we have he said she said stuff. The prosecutor didn’t agree with some of it, or he lacked evidence.Well hang on now. Right but don't you see how you're choosing a side, too? Waiting and seeing is ideal as long as the person can't do any more harm.....and that is the case here. But waiting and seeing requires you to wait, not question the accuser. You're not waiting and seeing at that point. It’s called due process. I will form my opinion as evidence emerges. Who am I to judge that the prosecutor was wrong?
I will wait and see, some here have made up their minds. I asked based on what, and so far all that has been put forth is the same regurgitated he said she said that wasn’t prosecuted.
